A friend of ours just raved over this place and said we had to try Eddie's. High end steakhouses are my favorite so I was super excited. Even if this place was offering free dinner I would not go back, it was that bad! The salads were very, very good so were excited that the main course would be just as tasty. I decided upon the trio of medallions and they did warn me that the peppercorn sauce is a "love it or hate it" kind of thing. Well, I did not care for any of the sauces on the medallions. They completely masked the flavor of this supposedly high quality, aged beef that I could not even taste. My fiance ordered a summer special item, Brazilian Chimicurri Strip and it did not even look appetizing when they brought it out. He said it tasted awful and it looked almost boiled rather than seared, YUCK!
The lyonnaise potatoes (usually my favorite) were withered, and tasted like french fries cooked in old grease.
We did have a great waiter and he was very attentive to our needs. That was at least a positive of the evening- great service! However, the food was so bad that nothing could have made this a positive experience for us.
It was hilarious though that when we arrived there was 2 tables of customers in this huge dining room and the hostess asked if we had a reservation.

Stayed in Fishers and asked at the hotel for a restaurant that would be a cut above the national grill chains and was pleasantly surprise at the luxury and ambiance of Eddie Merlot's.

Even though the main dining area is very upscale, we chose the lounge area for a quick and relaxing bite.

The area had very comfortable chairs and tables along with a moderately price menu. The lounge bar accommodates couples or singles needing a happy hour or to wait comfortable for your main dining seating.

The lounge has appetizer specials along with drink specials Sunday thru Thursday and 4-7 pm on Friday and Saturdays.

After traveling all day from Atlanta, it was a very relaxing dinner with a couple of good cocktails and food. We chose the Parmesan Truffle Fries, Prime Beef Sliders, and the Eddie’s New York Strip Burger sandwich; a wonderful eating experience.

Use the Eddie Merlots complimentary valet parking.

They hold happy hour nightly with wonderful assortment of munchies at very reasonable price. Atmosphere like going to resort, comfy leather club chairs with pillows/fireplace/ calm and soothing atmosphere. You can order anything from regular menu as well as the happy hour menu. This is a place i treat myself-go with friends have drink/ black and blue pizza/dessert and coffee and several hours have passed of a mini vacation. Happy hour drinks are so-so but food delicious, atmosphere outstanding and may need to just order regular price drinks ( wine on happy hour OK).
Treat yourself to a midweek splurge- you won't regret it! Live music on weekends was too loud and prevented conversation, so either go early or go on a week night

We experienced the Easter Brunch at Eddie Merlot's in Indianapolis. It was marvelous and worth every bit of the money and time for the meal. We have eaten at Eddie Merlot's many times in the past but this was the first for their Easter Brunch. We would highly recommend it to everyone.

Eddie Merlots in Indianapolis (actually Carmel) is a great steakhouse that does seafood well too. Five of us went for son's 23rd birthday as a special occasion, because it IS expensive. We spent close to $600 including tip, which did include two bottles of wine, appetizers and desserts. Son and I both got the 12 ounce filets with truffle butter, which were great and cooked to perfection, pink in the center as ordered. Bisque was good as was a side of scallops. For three sides, we got 'coated' green beans (with tempura batter), potatoes, and grilled brussel sprouts. I hate brussel sprouts but they are surprisingly good grilled. Daughters got three small filet medallions with crab legs. Wife got bbq shrimp appetizer and lobster thermidor. Everbody liked their meals.
Waitress was great but not intrusive and brought over sommelier for help with wine choices which we liked.
They will box up leftovers for you to take home.
