Extremely friendly staff. Quaint decor.
The food gets mixed reviews. The pickled beets and other starters were uniformly good. The mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and beans were good "Home Cooking Style" items.
All four in our group choose the combination dinner for the entree. This included 2 pieces of chicken (light or dark meat), 3 large shrimp and a 4oz beef tenderloin. I choose the dark chicken. The shrimp and beef were excellent. The friend chicken was the letdown. Very bland and greasy.
The ice cream sundae's were a nice ending to the meal. One of our group choose the raspberry sherbert with some kind of nuts and said it was excellent.
