Description: We are a family owned and operated authentic Greek restaurant. Specialties of the house include lamb, fresh fish, chicken, pastitsio, moussaka and many other Greek classics. Award winning, since opening over 10 years ago, SGK has a reputation of serving great food, in a pleasant, festive environment for reasonable prices. Chef owner, Taki Sawi is naturally talented when it comes to preparing and serving food, while co owner (and wife) Jeanette has a natural propensity for taking care of people... We have found this to be a unique combination! Located in historic Fountain Square, just minutes from downtown Indianapolis. We invite you to come and enjoy all we have to offer. See if you can taste the love we put into everything we serve. It's a great place to enjoy food, family and friends! Welcome from Taki and Jeanette

“Get Your Greek On”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

I have very little experience with Greek cuisine, but I am going to make an effort to learn more about it after my meal here. I ordered the Pastitsio meal after discussing it with the waitress. A very good Greek salad kicked it off, followed by the pastitsio, a Greek lasagna, with rice, potatoes & green beans. It was enough for two people. Everything was very good and I am eager to experiment with other dishes. This is a lovely eatery, very competently staffed, serving great food at reasonable prices.

Outstanding. Wow this was so good. Just stopped in for a business lunch and loved every bite. From the flaming cheese to the lamb. Perfect. Really half we came in. It's a must

“The reviews are true”
Reviewed May 12, 2013 via mobile

This was actually my second choice for a taste a greek while in town but the other place was closed. Still very glad with this choice as it was excellent. Service was great and informative about menu selections. Can't say I know true greek food but got a platter and everything was fantastic. Wish I had got the cheese appetizer they offer where they set it on fire when bringing to your table. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Indy area for lunch or dinner.

“Great Restaurant!”
Reviewed May 3, 2013 via mobile

This was the first time we ate there, our server was Desa, he was outstanding! He was very charming and informative, glad we followed his suggestions. We shared the Chef's special, a great selection! If we were staying here we would definitely dine there regularly:)

“Delicious!”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Friendly staff, delicious food and always a great time. Dinner meals are very reasonably priced and they're huge portions... easily enough to take home and have for lunch the next day. Most all meals come with yummy potatoes, rice pilaf, stewed green beans (tomato based), greek salad and fresh baked bread. Don't forget to try the saganaki (flaming cheese) - Opa!
