“Petit Chou: Another Patachou locale, same great food & ambience”
Reviewed February 22, 2012

A TA post spoke of Patachou's airport location, which we had tried in the past. Great choices & quality for an airport. After researching their restaurant menus on-line, I was anxious to try one next time I was in Indy.

Recently, with time on our hands in before heading for the airport, we drove up to the Broad Ripple neighborhood, an artsy, eclectic area where I seemed to recall reading about a Patachou Restaurant. A walk up & down the bars-strip typically popular with students proved futile. A passing young gal shrugged & pointed to the bar-eateries, then directed us to "several cafes by the canal." Westfield Blvd was a block from where we had parked, but was unnoticed by us. Almost gave up after checking menus at two so-so restaurants, when there it was...Petit Chou. Manager Matt Dye held the door open to welcome us to a bright & lively setting that felt just-right. Yes, it was one of Patachou's, and exactly what we were looking for: simple, lovely ambience, wholesome sandwiches & salads, crepes & omelets, wines & champagnes (LOVED my Bellini!). Apparently locals were regulars here ... from college students to matronly gal-friends. Tartines (open-faced sandwiches) & croque sandwiches (grilled) served with generous salad of field greens are more than satisfying; many unfinished portions left in take-out boxes. Soup of the day was fresh (not boxed) butternut squash garnished with a squiggle of pureed, garlicky spinach pistou. Salad plates of greens or fruit--some with scoop of chicken, egg or tuna salad ... some w/goat cheese or berries or walnuts--on their way to other tables looked like delectable works of art. Service could have been quicker, with a bit more attention from our server; but the pace allowed me to take in the whole scene & ambience. This was a delightful, affordable lunch experience for under $10 (excluding our drinks). If not at Broad Ripple, I'm looking forward to my next Patachou -- for breakfast or lunch.

“Portions Are Small For The Price, The Food Was Good”
Reviewed February 7, 2012

My friends took me here for brunch for my birthday. The place is very clean and very modern. We brought our children and it was the perfect place. Although not a "kid" oriented place, the children enjoyed themselves.

Despite not paying for my own meal, I was shocked at the prices versus portion size. The food was very good, but it was not worth the price tag in my opinion.

Their bread is out of this world though!

“Best Breakfast in Indy”
Reviewed January 30, 2012

We love Patachou! Dine most frequently at their new Carmel/Clay Terrace location but their menu is the same as Broad Ripple and Fishers. Upscale. Great coffee, wonderful egg selections, delicious granola.

“Best Breakfast in Town!”
Reviewed December 27, 2011

The staff was very friendly, knowlegable and efficient. The food was scrumptious, plentiful and arrived in a timely manor. We had 7 people in our party so there was a good variety of food sampled at our table, from brokien egg sandwiches, to omlettes, to the croissant french toast. The cinnamon toast was the favoite choice of a side (and was to die for). There wasn't a bite left on anyone's plates! The self serve coffee bar had the usual blends of coffee but we also had the choice of Frangellica flavored coffee, butter cream flavored and Samatra.
Love, love, loved this place!!!!!!
