The food at PF Chang's is countable for consistency of taste, quality, quantity, and atmosphere. Usually a nice experience, especially for a national chain.
The night I visited they had plenty of room, no wait, no reservations required, and this, for a busy Sunday evening with numerous events taking place downtown.
My server was friendly and kept an eye on my drink, refilling and accommodating as need be. A nice guy who deserved and got a good tip.
My only complaint was that I tried a new dish this evening and it disappointed. I tried the salt and pepper prawns and ended up with average size Gulf shrimp. Chang's should be ashamed to call what was served "prawns."
Beyond that, the quantity was good, but the seasoning was only so-so. I was disappointed that it was not more flavorful. The saving grace for this dish were the sauce cups. Virtually every piece required a dipping sauce to provide some flavor.
Will I order this dish again? No. I'll revert to some of my old favorites such as Philip's Lemon Chicken.
Oh well, that's what dining is all about -- experimenting.
Once again, the service was very good, the food, this time 'round, only average.
