“Great steakhouse!”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

Been there with 4 coworkers. the shrimp cocktail is amazing as well as the ribeye steak. My steak was cook perfectly. Service is great as well as the old school style of the restaurant. There was a 1h30 lineup, so they took my phone number and text me when our table was available.

“Great atmosphere”
Reviewed October 10, 2013 via mobile

We had to have the shrimp cocktail after hearing about it. It is covered in horseradish and cocktail sauce. A bit spicy but addictive! You must try it to get the full experience of the destination. Great Atmosphere and great steak! You won't be disappointed.

“Eh. What's Everybody Raving Over?”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

Went there for business dinner and ate in the private wine cellar room where Peyton Manning reportedly held court after every home game during his Colts tenure. Very impressive room (and they let you peruse the cellar) but the steaks were nothing to get excited about. Even premium chains like Ruth's Chris offer better steaks. And the shrimp cocktail? So what? The shrimp were big but nothing special and the homemade cocktail sauce with their special blend of horseradish was only OK. It wasn't bad, just not worth the premium price.

“The place to go in Indy”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

I usually don't review my home city but this place is the one I always tell friends to go to when in town. It wants to appear old school like the tomato juice or bean soup before dinner both should and could go away both annoying and stupid but the you move on to the reason ou came. I call this a safe menu. Anything you order will be delightful and over priced but would rather get excellence and pay than have a crap sell out (see review of Mucky Duck Captiva). Must tries: shrimp cocktail and filet. The restraunt used to have a tunnel from the hotel next door and has private rooms often used by visiting NBA teams. If you are in Indy and need a business restraunt that will close the deal faster than a golf course while more enjoyable. St Elmo's

“Old School Steahouse That's Worth It.”
Reviewed October 8, 2013 via mobile

Steaks are perfect. Old school charm. Shrimp cocktail is a must have. Go for the tomato juice while you're at it. Professional waiters are always a treat. Dont skip desert. Bread pudding and cheesecake are on point.
