Expected a great meal and realized everything I anticipated. Went with a group of five. We all agreed that the steaks we had (2 ribeyes, 3 bone in fillets) equalled or surpassed the best we had consumed anywhere. Appetizers and salads were also good. Our server was attentive but not invasive, as we were having a business meeting with our meal. The prices are upper end, but every once in awhile I enjoy paying for a special meal. No one will be disappointed eating at St. Elmo's.

I really enjoyed the shrimp cocktail and highly recommend that! The onion rolls (which they supply in plenty) are also fantastic. Everything else foodwise was good but just did not wow me! Our server was very good and kept us very entertained.

Our party of four was able to sit at two small bar tables on a Saturday night without a reservation. Great start to a fine evening. The parade passing through the bar was more entertaining than a dining room table could possibly have been. We each had the highly recommended shrimp cocktail and all agreed it was excellent. The abundant horseradish in the sauce will open up your sinuses for sure. The steaks were flavorful, large and perfectly prepared. Our waiter was prompt with the food and our drink refills, somehow weaving his way through the crowded room to be there as needed.

I read all the reviews on this restaurant and listened to my friends who have visited. The Shrimp cocktail really was stupendous, but the horseradish sauce is easily duplicated for 5 shrimp. Although the steaks are good, they are not stupendous. They in no respect justify the the $50 or so they command on the menu. PLUS, $10 for simple button mushrooms is ridiculous. Dinner, tip, and no dessert was well over $200 and we split a dinner. The ambiance doesn't make up for it and I'd recommend you just make this dinner at home. How hard is it to marinate a filet and make a loaded baked potato and buy a bottle of good wine? Mediocre' steakhouse at best.

First time at this restaurant in Indy. Filet was perfectly med rare, boyfriend had pork chop which turned out to be three large chops. We got the king crab mac and cheese to split, there was enough for four people. Overall, food was excellent and the price was fine. Will also say our waiter, Scott, was awesome! Will definately be back when in the city next.
