“Steak House out of this world!”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

I absolutely loved the shrimp coctail - what they do with it is delicious and you want to keep going back for me. The steak is also something you cannot pass up on. They cook it perfectly and it melts in your mouth.

“Delicious Shrimp Cocktail and Steak!”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

The rustic St. Elmo's is a staple in Downtown Indianapolis. They are well know for there St. Elmos Shrimp Cocktail which are to die for. It was super delicious but beware of the cocktail sauce! The food was extremely good and well seasoned, the desserts were generous and huge! Overall, the ambiance is rustic and comfy while the food was delicious and worth the wait to get a table!

“Excellent Food, Excellent Service, Don't miss if you are in town!”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

I love St. Elmo's. The experience there is unlike anything else you will find in Indy! Despite it being a steak house, I always get the fish and it is well worth it! Highly Recommend stopping here if you are looking for a great dinner while in town!

“Excellent Dry Aged Beef; Side Items Were "OKAY"...”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

Our party of 8 was immediately seated upstairs in our own private room; it was very nice and quaint. The wait staff was extremely attentive and atmosphere was very unique. Dinner started with a basket of bread; it consisted of onion loaves, small pumpernickel loaves, cheesy flatbreads, and a poppyseed roll. Butter was also included. As a first course, each diner had the choice of navy bean soup or tomato juice. The soup was ordinary, can't comment on the tomato juice. Some at our table tried the shrimp cocktail; they noted that the horseradish sauce was extremely strong, but very good. Next came the main course. Everyone seemed happy with their cut of meat, whether it be a steak, prime rib, or baked chicken entree. Personally, I had the Kansas Dry aged sirloin, which was probably the most juicy and flavorful cut I have ever eaten. The portion was huge, and cooked to perfection. The side item (a loaded baked potato) was not any better than a chain steak house, but I wasn't there for the potato. Overall, St. Elmo's is a nice place with a fun atmosphere; it would be a romantic place to take a date... Price for 8 adults was just shy of $500...
