Owner description: Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre has been serving up food, fun and fabulous live entertainment for everyone since 1973. Located in College Park, the theatre was part of a chain of dinner theatres built by Louisville contractor J. Scott Talbott. It was called "Beef" because of the delicious hand carved roast beef served before the performances, and "Boards" referring to the boards or stage of a theatre. Today, the Indianapolis location is privately owned and the sole remaining Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre, entertaining more than 150,000 theatergoers annually. Each season includes professional Broadway shows, plays and acclaimed children's theatre productions by our resident Pyramid Players. But a visit to Beef & Boards is more than just great theatre! We offer a tasty dinner buffet prepared by our in-house executive chef, plus a full-service bar and mouthwatering gourmet desserts. Be sure to stop by the Intermission gift shop for unique gift ideas, and ask about seeing more shows for less through our VIP membership program. Come see why each year more and more people discover the value and quality of Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre! Beef & Boards is a member of Actors' Equity Association, the only union for professional actors in legitimate theatre.

I have been a VIP member at Beef and Boards for many years. This has entitled me to get two-for-one tickets to all the shows (which include meals and complimentary desserts). I have never been disappointed with the quality of the performances or the food. The shows seem to get better and better each year. I have already signed up for the VIP 2014 season. Highly recommend for a fun-filled day or evening of high quality entertainment.

We have seen several dinner shows at Beef and Boards - Menopause, being the most recent one this year. Shows have always been enjoyable and hilarious; great music! There is actually a church service by The Garden before the show, where we attend first, then help clean up the tables and put ice in glasses. A line outside the theatre starts forming even at 11:30am. Depending on who is in first in line gets seated first and gets to go to the buffet line, which is a good system. Since we are in the 50-60 age, going down the steps to go to the buffet area is no problem for us. There is also a ramp for those who use wheelchairs. Buffet has salad, fruits, bread, pasta, fish, chicken, roast beef. You can go back as much as you want. Going back means you'll need to fall in line again, which is also a good way to control the crowd. Orders for dessert are taken and you can have the option to have dessert served at intermission. Value of the show is good especially the matinee price. Bathroom has two rows containing several stalls. Will always go back for shows.

I really like to go the Beef & Boards, we use it for a ladies day out. It is too pricey if you aren't interesting in the actual show, because the buffet is not extraordinary, so make sure it is something you and your friends want to see.

We love going to Beef and Boards and have become VIP members. We have never seen anything but top quality performances, and the food is always good. We usually attend the Wednesday matinees, as that works best for our schedule.

Just saw Father of the Bride. Enjoyed the show. Good performances. The food in the buffet was average at best. People are squeezed in together. I would not go back if the roomier seats in the back weren't available. Soft drinks are extra $.
