Stopped by for lunch on a rainy day in Indy, as the place was next to my hotel and was recommended by several of the hotel staff. I went at lunch and there was a nice crowd, but it was far from jammed. I liked that, in addition to bar seats, tables and other more traditional seating, there were small booths that were perfect for one or two people (nice touch for the solo traveler). My server was friendly, and I never felt rushed or prodded to move on. On the food side, the ribs were not bad, but what was really good was the smoked turkey that you can choose as part of a "build your own feast" option. It was not too dry and not too fatty and you could tell that indeed it had been well-smoked. Another must is the loaded potato salad. Imagine a loaded, twice-baked potato turned into a potato salad without all the abuse that restaurants typically heap on the dish (e.g., too much mayo, tasteless hard-boiled egg fragments, and other ingredients that do nothing for anything, much less potato salad) and you have a good picture of what it is-great! For the imbibers, be sure to ask for the local IPA that they serve. It, too, is great-a little floral with a nice finish at the end. A great companion to the meal. The menu also has other pub/sports bar items such as pizza, burgers, wings, and things. The price was also right as well. A final note, if you are staying at the Homewood Suites next door, they deliver and you can have the cost of the meal added to your hotel bill, if that is convenient for you. A great little place and definitely "hangout worthy"!
