Where do I start? Upon arriving, there was a note on the door that read 'excuse our mess' indicating the property was undergoing renovation. Okay. That's not something that I thought would really bother me so I checked in. The first room (#127 I think) I was given was not ready for a guest in any way. Furniture, bed and curtains askew, no headboard, no mirror in the bathroom, construction debris on the floor, plaster on the bathroom floor. I called and asked for another room and got it. The 2nd room (#137 I think) was better but also had issues. Sloppy renovation work, rust in the tub, old TV with no remote and no volume control so even standing right next to it, it could not be heard. In-room refrigerator, microwave and single serve coffee seemed alright. Front desk personnel both at night in daytime were friendly. Bed was comfortable and the room seemed clean. Back door has no security and no latch so anyone could be walking the halls that incidentally are dirty and carpeted with a covering that has definitely seen better days. Along with a couple of dumpsters, there was all kinds of construction debris out back -- wooden chairs, mattresses, dressers, etc., etc. Sloppy construction work in the room: badly patched plaster, light switch covers weren't on straight, deadbolt did not work at all, wobbly lampshades. Also -- when I was waiting to check in, someone stopped in and asked what the rate was and was told $116. Holy cow -- that place isn't worth half that!. And the wifi doesn't work. I had to drive to McDonald's at 11 PM so I could access a network in order to send emails for work. I actually had another night booked at this location two days later but cancelled it. I would not stay here again. I don't recommend staying here unless you get a really cheap rate or have no other alternative.
