Where do I begin? Overall, this place is in serious need of renovation, remediation and some plain old housekeeping. This is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at- especially for $70 for a well recognized brand. Lets start with the exterior. The parking lot needs resurfacing. There were toilets and a mattress in plain view around the dumpster.

The hallways wreaked of a combined odor of mold, mildew, and used kitty litter. The carpet was stained and frayed.

Inside the room. Dim, dreary ceiling lights, dirty a/c unit, musty odor, dangling smoke detector, clogged sink, loose fixtures. I'm not lying. See the pictures. I really wish you could smell them, as it would give a clearer perspective of my experience. Lets put it this way. If our card had not been already been charged for arriving late and we were not too tired to drive after 12 hours on the road, we definitely would not have stayed here.

I just want to apologize for any inconvenience that our renovations may have caused during your stay. We have been doing renovations since January but unfortunately it is something that takes time. We are doing the rooms in sections and it sounds like you were given an older room. I would like to speak with you at your earliest convenience regarding the housekeeping issues so I can address your concerns. And I hope that if you are ever in Indianapolis again you will come by and see the finished renovations.

Sincerely
Tracy Kitchel

As with most budget hotels, you get what you pay for and this was no exception. Our room and bathroom was clean but had a few minor flaws. Nothing was remarkable in the room. The hallways were unsightly. The hotel was undergoing a major renovation and it was very obvious. For an overnight stay at a budget inn, this was what I expected it to be.

Where do I start? Upon arriving, there was a note on the door that read 'excuse our mess' indicating the property was undergoing renovation. Okay. That's not something that I thought would really bother me so I checked in. The first room (#127 I think) I was given was not ready for a guest in any way. Furniture, bed and curtains askew, no headboard, no mirror in the bathroom, construction debris on the floor, plaster on the bathroom floor. I called and asked for another room and got it. The 2nd room (#137 I think) was better but also had issues. Sloppy renovation work, rust in the tub, old TV with no remote and no volume control so even standing right next to it, it could not be heard. In-room refrigerator, microwave and single serve coffee seemed alright. Front desk personnel both at night in daytime were friendly. Bed was comfortable and the room seemed clean. Back door has no security and no latch so anyone could be walking the halls that incidentally are dirty and carpeted with a covering that has definitely seen better days. Along with a couple of dumpsters, there was all kinds of construction debris out back -- wooden chairs, mattresses, dressers, etc., etc. Sloppy construction work in the room: badly patched plaster, light switch covers weren't on straight, deadbolt did not work at all, wobbly lampshades. Also -- when I was waiting to check in, someone stopped in and asked what the rate was and was told $116. Holy cow -- that place isn't worth half that!. And the wifi doesn't work. I had to drive to McDonald's at 11 PM so I could access a network in order to send emails for work. I actually had another night booked at this location two days later but cancelled it. I would not stay here again. I don't recommend staying here unless you get a really cheap rate or have no other alternative.

Room tip: It was quiet, but the walls are paper thin. The hotel does have wifi but good luck getting a signal.

I am very sorry about the issues at check in with the rooms. We are under renovations and that is why you see the reno dumpsters out back and things out in the open. I would really like to speak with you about the issues you have stated. Please call me at your earliest convenience. We appreciate the feedback from our reviews good or bad. Thats what lets us know what we are doing right and what needs inprovement.

Sincerely
Tracy Kitchel
