Excellent little winery. The staff are very fun and enjoy talking about their wines. In the summer they have a little concert series on Sat afternoons. There is a small cost for the tasting, but it was worth it. Definitely try the Reggae wines! Length of your visit would be determined if they had music or not. If not, you could be in and out in under an hour.

We set out to visit Sun King Brewery this past Saturday. My wife and I noticed this winery was across the street and decided to visit it after our fantastic beer tasting at Sun King.

Please understand that we have been exploring wineries together for over 30 years.

We were perplexed by what we encountered. As we walked over to the tasting area, we were approached by a man who asked if he could help us. We explained we wanted to taste some wine and purchase what we liked (as we always do when visiting wineries). He said that we needed to pay for the tasting--that was fine with us although most wineries offer free tastings. He also said that we had to take a tour. We explained that after 30 years of tours, we wanted to to skip that part.

Wait for it: He said we either had to take the tour or wait around until the tour was over.

Seriously.

We looked at each other--laughed--and said ok, but we will take our money elsewhere. We left.

Absolutely incredible business model.

We truly love visiting Easley's-- they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome! I asked about new wines (after revealing that Reggae Red was my absolute favorite) and she informed me of a new one they have now: '76.... another sweet red that is wonderful. The hostess offered free sampling of the new wine and we ended up purchasing more wine during our trip than planned!

My husband and I went to Easley (about an hour from home) one Saturday. It was our first winery tour. We also did the tastings. It was fun.
