“Great Stay”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

We spent the weekend and really enjoyed the property. It is an older hotel but seems be well maintained and clean. The rooms are exceptionally quiet and we never heard the individuals in the next room who appeared to be having a get together. Located just a block from the Circle so there are lots of attractions near by.

We stayed for a weekend and were disappointed. The hotel is older and the floor we stayed on is in desperate need of a makeover. The carpet in the hallway leading to our room was very stained and old looking. Bad first impressions. The carpet in the room was a 1970's gold swirl and our curtains had a large red stain on them. The bed was comfortable, though, and the room was otherwise acceptable, but we expected much better from a Hilton and for the price we paid. The location was great, but we would not stay here again.

While we are happy to know you found your guestroom to be comfortable, it is truly disappointing when an experience does not live up to our guests' expectations and that your accommodations were not what you hoped for. If there is anything else we could have done to create a better stay for you, we would love to know, thank you for your review.

We booked this stay through the Hilton's own site. They were offering a good deal, and since the hotel is right downtown, on monument circle, we jumped at the opportunity for a two night stay. Check-in was effortless, but we were surprised to learn that in-room wireless service would cost us an extra $10 per day PER device. The room was OK, but nothing special. The room contained no phone book, nor did it contain a Gideon Bible - apparently those have gone the way of the dinosaur. It DID, however, have a "What to Do in Indianapolis" guide for the Summer of 2010 - TWO YEARS ago.

We (hubby and I) had certain expectations based on the Hilton name. While the employees were courteous and the room was clean and quiet, we can honestly say we have received more included amenities at other hotels with "lesser" reputations - Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Days Inn, to name a few. All of those chains offer free in-room wireless; all of those chains offer coffee in the lobby; all of those chains offer free breakfast. We expected a bit more from the Hilton chain.

We highly value all feedback from our guests would like to thank you for taking the time to share your review with us. While we are truly happy to learn that you enjoyed our central location as well as a fast check-in, it seems that we have missed the mark with regard to a few issues you had while staying with us and will most certainly share your comments with our management team. As you mentioned, we do charge for Internet accessibility in individual guestrooms, however it is complimentary in all public areas of the hotel and we hope that it wasn't too much of an inconvenience for you. We can understand your frustration, as it is never our intention for guests to experience anything less than an excellent visit. Thank you.

I booked a room at this Hilton through Priceline. We were very happy with our stay. The room was very large. The bed was very comfortable and we liked that there were two seperate areas that we could use while getting ready to go out. One of us could use the bathroom and then there was a sink and mirror in the room itself. We ate at both of the hotel establishments. The breakfast buffet was very good and priced right. Dinner was also excellent and very reasonable. I loved the shower curtain so much that when I got home I went on line and ordered one for my home. I will stay there again!

We always appreciate when a guest takes the time to provide feedback regarding their stay at the Hilton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites, thank you! 120 West Market Fresh Grill certainly has some delicious choices which feature locally grown foods indigenous to Indiana and the Ohio Valley and we are thrilled you enjoyed your dining experiences. Having space to spread out a little is certainly welcome when traveling! It would be our pleasure to welcome you back again for another wonderful stay.

We had a group of 13 who stayed at this hotel while we were in town for the Women of Faith Event in Indianapolis. I was not impressed with the hotel at all, they don't have complimentary breakfast, no free wi-fi, even the average of average hotels offer this. The beds were comfy, but the picture by the desk was filthy and looked like something was splattered all over it. The rooms were large and I was impressed with those, the bathrooms were clean. There were 2 nice big tv's but one would shut off on its own, two remotes for the tvs but one wouldn't work. I don't know if it is worth the extra money. Really considering a different hotel next year.

All guest feedback, positive or otherwise is important to us, thank you for sharing your views. While we are certainly happy to learn you enjoyed your spacious accommodations, it is disappointing that not every part of your stay was completely positive and we will be sure to share your comments with our housekeeping staff. We do charge for Internet access in guestrooms, however we would like to point out that wireless service is free in all public areas of the hotel and we apologize if this caused any inconvenience. Additionally, we do offer several packages that include breakfast to ensure an affordable stay for all of our guests. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We hope you will consider staying again in the future and allow us the opportunity to fully impress you with all we have to offer.

Hiltons, like other big hotels, can be all over the map, but this well seems well cared for, with a medium sized pool, a decent gym, and a good location. Parking is steep, but cheaper lots are on the same block (and easier without valet). Even cheaper on the next block - half the price. You are one block from Monument Circle, near cafes, restaurants, and stores in the Warehouse District. Not the edgiest part of town, but easy. Very walkable from this location.

The Hilton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites is located in the heart of Indianapolis and within walking distance to a variety of great restaurants, businesses, retailers and attractions. We're delighted you enjoyed your accommodations. While we do charge for parking, our valet service does permit for unlimited in and out privileges, which is generally not available at most public lots. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. It would be our pleasure to welcome you back again in the future.

I had a quick last minute trip to Indianapolis & went straight to the Hilton. Amber at the desk was extremely helpful with good suggestions and clear directions. My room was a bit dated, but it was large. The overall service was good to excellent. Lots of good places to eat nearby. I was surprised to find a civil war museum under their monument downtown! This city has cleaned up a lot over the last few years. The Hilton Guest Services was great. I could always pick up the phone to get whatever I needed. The guy who was there every night seemed to know just about everything and made sure that any little problem or request that I mentioned was taken care of right away. The evening bellman was friendly and helpful as well.

As someone else mentioned there is a spa in the lobby. I got a last minute appointment and had a great hair cut. I was tempted to try their massages but my time was short. The hotel is well placed. Nearby is a mall. A couple of blocks away is a canal complete with paddleboats and gondola rides. Half a block away is Monument Circle with a Starbucks & Chocolate Factory eatery. (Starbucks & chocolate - what more does one need?) Half a block in the other direction is the Indiana State House. The U.S District Courthouse is 2 short blocks away just past another Starbucks. And of course St. Elmo's Steakhouse. Any trip to Indianapolis just isn't complete without a St. Elmo's steak. It is also so nice to be able to walk around downtown at night. The area is well lit and the people are friendly. It is so easy to go anywhere downtown when you stay at the Hilton. Personally, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Room Tip: The pool & hot tub is on the 19th floor if you have kids. The Fitness Center is on the 18th Floo...
