Neighborhood: Broad Ripple
Description: Casual American food, relaxed service, a commitment to fresh ingredients and a culture of local and regional craft beers. Don't worry - we have great liquors and wines too! Family-friendly, dog-friendly (in season, of course) bicycle-friendly, you name it - we're just flat-out friendly. Our "Dirty Mac & Cheese" has been featured in Indianapolis Monthly magazine. They've also named us as a "Top Ten Outdoor Dining & Drinking Spot" We've been nominated multiple times for Best Pork Tenderloin in Nuvo Magazine's Annual "Best of Indy" edition. We've also been nominated for Best Service too. We've never actually won but our kids still think we're cool and what else really matters, right?

After checking out a couple of other Broad Ripple eats where the wait time was outrageous, we check with Fire by the Monon and with luck we were able to lock in immediately a table outside. Beautiful evening and our server Emily was fantastic. Started with local draft brews and the veggie flat bread. Very nice! Salmon was a special for the night. However the menu hickory smoked grilled salmon with dill herb butter was cooked perfectly and excellent flavor accompanied with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. What a great spring time meal outside on a spring night in Broad Ripple in Indy. Topped the meal with a shared bread pudding topped with ice cream. Perfect! Looking forward to our next night out a Fire By the Monon. Thanks for a great evening Emily!

I've been twice to this restaurant since moving to Indy. It's a hidden jem of Broad ripple right off the Monon Trail. There is seating outside and sometimes they have outside seating when you can bring your dog. I like pet friendly restaurants, we need more around the country in general.
The food they are know for is their pull pork, the carnivore flatbread pizza is delicious. Never thought pulled pork on a pizza would taste as great. Another dished we tried was the Prime-rib. We shared this we everyone at the table. It comes with potatoes, asparagus, mushrooms and onions. Flavor of the entire dish was very flavorful. Recommend ordering steak a little on the rare side, since it comes on a sizzling plate. It continues to cook items as you eat them from the plate. We ordered to flatbread pizzas and the prime-rib and we had 3/4th left of one of the flat breads to take home. Also, we had a great server, she made great suggestions and came by before we needed her. Highly recommend this place if you are in Indianapolis and happen to be in the Broad Ripple area.

This is a fun place right off of the trail. The staff was friendly, and it is a cool atmosphere.
Went for lunch with the family. The food was ok (child's Mac & cheese was the best thing on our table), but it has a fun vibe.
Would be an excellent place for drinks.

Went with the family. Menu had more apps then actuall full plate items, that was strange. Had the trout. Ehhh..it was ok. Regular portions, atmosphere felt like you were in someone's house, it was super hot in there, sweaty and my son stepped out several times to cool off. Staff is friendly and well versed, actual service was good, minus I saw our waiter turn around when he saw a burger had onions on it and without washing his hands removed them before it got to the table. But I saw. Bread pudding was delicious. For the money unfortunately I won't go back, but it's not a dive, just not a must go again. I heard the steak was good.
