Towering 33 floors, the transparent design of the JW Marriott Indianapolis allows it to be seen for miles and makes a prominent mark to the downtown skyline. Check-in for my three night stay for my brothers wedding was a breeze and just took a few minutes. Took the high-rise elevators to the 24th floor not sure what to expect. The room, 2405 was a very well appointed deluxe king room featuring top notch amenities and offered superb views of downtown Indianapolis especially at night. Enjoyed a few drinks at the lobby bar and the breakfast buffet at Osteria Pronto, one of the hotel restaurants. It was a bit pricey but the selection and food was very good. This hotel is situated in the middle of downtown right on the banks of the White River and is very close to many downtown attractions including Lucas Oil Stadium.

There was one thing that I did not like. The elevators at this JW Marriott required you to swipe your key card to get above the 4th floor. After the first night, my card was not being recognized and I had to go down to the lobby a few times to get new keys. This got pretty old if you were constantly in and out like I was.

Can’t wait to stay at the JW Marriott Indianapolis again in the near future.

Room Tip: For the best view, request a room on a higher floor facing the city.

Thank you for your comments. I was happy to see that you enjoyed your visit. I did want to take this opportunity to apologize for the problem you experienced with the key card. This is not typical of our hotel, and we will follow up with the manufacturer to make sure there is no problem with the keys. Again, we enjoyed having you with us, and we hope to welcome you back. Thank you for your recent post. I am sorry you found the rates to be overpriced. As with most hotels, rates are based on the business within the hotel. Please keep an eye out for specials that we run. Again, it was a pleasure to have you with us, and we hope to welcome you back. Scott Blalock, General Manager

Overall a very nice hotel with helpful staff and well appointed rooms. A few minor problems I encountered: 1) you have to card key every time you use the elevator. This gets old if you're coming/going frequently. 2) My rooms AC didn't cool the room as cold as I would have preferred. 3) I was on a lower floor facing downtown and received a good deal of street noise. I'd recomend a higher floor facing the river. 4) they were very busy, but seemed to be light on bell men. Had to wait several times for someone to hail a taxi.

I stayed at this hotel on business for a conference and it was awesome! the staff is very friendly and helpful. the room was very clean, spacious and modern. great amenities. very close to the downtown area shopping and restaurants.

Room Tip: i chose a room overlooking the city instead of park view. gorgeous!
