“Great for the Whole Family!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2012

I went to this with my two daughters because they love drums and music. We had a great afternoon together learning, listening, and making music. In fact we went to lunch (there is a Panera Bread right up the escalator) and came back for more. The center is not huge but it is packed with lots to see and do. There are areas for small children to explore as well as more mature displays explaining the history of percussion. My 5 year old loved playing the "real" drum set. I will definitely be going back with my family next time we are in Indianapolis.

“Great place for young children!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2012 via mobile

We visited this place after reading about it on a local blog. What a great place to take young children! My 20 month old had a blast and could have played for hours longer if we let her. I didn't have much time to actually read any of the info, we spent the 2 hours we were there playing with all of the instruments that were available. I don't think many people know about this place yet because it wasn't busy at all. Which is even better when you have kids that want to play with everything. I definitely recommend checking this place out! (kids 5 and under are FREE!)

This is a hidden gem for all ages. Incredibly interactive for kids. It's a good 1-2-3 hour activity and well worth your time.

“Fun experience, but could be better. Might return with kids.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2012 via mobile

We are a couple in our mid 30's that wandered in because of the rain without knowing what to expect. Fun little museum. Took us about an hour to wander around. Really wish that there had more staff to offer information and demos. The only staff we saw was at the front desk. This would be much more enjoyable with school aged kids. But we had fun trying out all of the instruments and loved the "recording studios" but again would have appreciated guidance and info from staff.

“Great concept that could be executed better”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2011

Young children will love being able to experiment with different types of percussion instruments. Several displays that are very educational. Local families should definitely spend an hour or so here at least once.

Wenger practice rooms are amazing pieces of technology- but the average person wandering into them would think they were simply soundproof rooms.

My suggestions to PAS would be 1) Printed instructions for the Wenger rooms, 2) Side by side video of orchestras recording soundtracks running next to the film clips if available 3) more detailed instructions on the Simpson's exhibit- it assumes you know how to read sheet music.
