Kudos to Major, this restaurant is fantastic. My party started with the lentils sambussa, and then each ordered our own giant entrees; shrimp for him and mild lentils for me. This was our first visit so we were surprised when we saw the portions and definitely could have split a meal. But everything was so delicious. Do the coffee celebration also-it's very traditional with popcorn and incense. Equally great service too! I will definitely be returning.

This was a great dining experience. The had a platter for two which included chicken, beef, and two types of lamb along with eight vegetables. The food is made to order and they can customize your preference for spiciness. We came in 30 minutes before closing time on a weekday and two more tables walked in after us. Needless to say the place is pretty popular. We were never rushed and the service was excellent. Make sure to try their traditional honey wine Tej, made in house. We even took a bottle home.

What an awesome dining experience. The waitstaff was very friendly. The meal is served traditionally on INJERA, the traditional Ethiopian-Eritrea bread. It is delicious. My meal had 2 types of lentils, spinach, collard greens, a serving of Ye-Beg Wot, and a few other small helpings of various sides to try. The waitress explained what each was when she served us. It was very tasty and perfect to sit and chat with a friend. We ate in the traditional way with our hands. For the area, it is a bit pricey minimum 15.00 a plate. One plate could almost feed 2 people. It is not the in best area but the experience is worth it. It is a cultural experience. They also have many Vegetarian, Chicken, Shrimp, and Beef meals to choose from, as well. And if you get a combo plate they will give you 3 or 4 samples of various dishes.

I think this place is great, I have been to several Ethiopian restaurants and make it at home and this place is by far my favorite in the city! Watch for their groupons!

We are in town for the weekend and stopped in. What a great place! The personal touch and fresh food made it a great pick. A must for anyone coming into town.
