“Very comfortable”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2012 via mobile

This hotel was very comfortable. The king size bed was soft and luxurious. The 5:30pm kickstart left a little to be desired but the breakfast was delicious. The room was very clean and a quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

For the money this place is a pretty good deal. Location is not the best, but still not bad. Service was friendly, parking was easy. The Happy Hour was the big deal for everyone the night I was there. people were slamming drinks, and chowing down food and snacks. It sure is a nice touch.

The one thing that is terrific about Drury Inns is that they are consistently clean, well maintained, and this is a particularly nice property, on the newer side and staffed with friendly folks. No surprises, just the same good, safe, and comfortable accommodations that Drury is known for.

Before we booked the room we read all the great reviews so we went for it. We stayed on Wednesday evening 8/29. From check in to check out we had a list of problems. We stayed at Drury because we wanted a suite, pool and breakfast. We were headed home from vacation in Nashville back to Milwaukee. With 3 kids the 9 hour drive was too long. At check in the front desk person seemed friendly but not like he was really listening to what I had to say. The first problem was when we went up to our room the keys didn't work. I had to run back down and get that fixed. Next later in the evening i was washing up my 15 month old, grabbed a wash cloth and it was dirty. After she was in bed I sent down and told the front desk person my issue. He said he couldn't do anything about it but would let the housekeeping manager know so that manager could make sure the room was cleaned better next time. Really? how accomodating. I need to back track a little we did have the kick back dinner snacks. The food was cold and the eating area was dirty and gross (reminded me of gross old country buffet). The pool was fine.

On thursday morning after I took a shower i grabbed a towel and the towel was also dirty and stained. I once again went down to the front desk and the woman there was nice and told me she would tell the manager right away and the manager would call. NO CALL ever before we left. We did eat the breakfast the person cooking had a dirty uniform (not food dirt) dirt dirt and she was standing around with a dirty rag. Once again very gross.

One of the other reasons we stayed was to search for a hotel that we could meet up with friends from Louisville (halfway point) to spend family weekends together. That will not be happening and we will be on a search for a another hotel.

Terrible terrible customer service. Very lazy staff.

Wish i would have read further into the many pages of reviews and not just the first few. What a waste of money. Will stick to Hilton properties from now on.

We are not rich we are middle class and I would rather spend the extra $$ .

Room Tip: Don't stay here unless you normally stay at motel 6. Then maybe it will be nice

We always find ourselves staying here while in Indianapolis. My entire family loves this place! From the appetizers and happy hour, fountain pop and popcorn, breakfast and the indoor/outdoor pool combo - you just can't beat the price!

Stayed one night on a drive east. Made choice of this inn because of high rating on TA & made reservation on iPhone in car. Reservation didn't go thru so called & made reservations.

Very nice hotel, not luxurious but clean & inviting. Arrived too late for kickback time but received great recommendation from Violet. She also discovered when we inquired that the original online reservation had gone thru (Expedia). After dinner she called our room to assure us that she had called Expedia & verified that we would not be charged! That was great service!

Acceptable hot breakfast buffet. We don't eat carbs so our selection wasn't as great but there was freshly scrambled eggs, sausage patties & a selection of ham, cheese & salsa to add to the eggs. We would certainly stay at a Drury Inn again based on this experience.

We stayed here for two nights to see the Moto GP race at IMS. There were three of us, so we booked a two-room suite which was nothing glamourous, but certainly spacious, clean and comfortable. Lots of things were happening that weekend -- the race, the state fair, and the Gencon gamers convention so the hotel was completely sold out. Even full, we found it to be quiet and the staff working breakfast and happy hour were efficient and helpful.

The only thing that might stop me from choosing the Drury Inn again is it's location on the far northeast end of town. Downtown was a half hour, $30+ cab rideaway, and the Brickyard was just as far.
