This is an interesting place if you like western and native american art. On the weekends there is usually a special event of some sort. It is located right by the Indiana History Museum so you can visit both pretty easily.

“Very cool guitar exhibit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

I went to the Eiteljorg Museum for the "Rockers to Roundup" guitar exhibit and it was great. I did not expect a Native American Indian museum to have such a vast collection, so I was pleasantly surprised. This is a first class world museum. Check it out while in Indianapolis.

“Guitars: Roundups & Rockers Exhibit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2013

This is a nice small exhibit to check out for Guitar fans, includes some guitar history and Vintage guitars by manufactures ( Gibson/Martin/Fender and others ) plus artists guitars ( Hendrix, Duane Allman, Stephen Stills, Keith Richards, Curt Cobain, Buddy Holly, and Les Paul etc.) Very Cool

Well worth the $12 admission ( AAA=$8.00 ) and free underground parking off of Washington Street.

If you are in town- check it out!

“"Wonderfully Displayed Native Americana!"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

In a beautiful, visitor friendly building (like a smaller version of Wash. DC's Smithsonian counterpart), this is a must for students or admirers of Native American culture and art. Inexpensive, and family-friendly. Has an excellent cafeteria, too. A highlight!
