“Great brazilian meat place”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

So if you are looking for some real good brazilian meat place, this is a good choice.

It's a nice big place, with friendly waiters and good service.

For the drinks, the wine menu is huge and they feature a good choice in caipirinhas (though a little bit sweet to my taste, but that's me, I always prefer less sweet cocktails, forgot to tell them :-( )

For the food, just expect a constant movement of waiters carrying large skewers of different grilled meat, from picanha to garlic steak, filet mignon, bacon wrapped chicken or steak, etc... They come to your table and you choose the piece you want, cooked the way you want, the size you want, and as much as your stomach or your waist can handle.

“Meh...”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

My husband and I took a client and his spouse to dinner here (client's choice), even though we had dined at Fogo previously. Our second go-around was about as uninspiring as the first. The meats are nothing to write home about, but the salad bar is pretty amazing. I would prefer to have just that if ever forced to dine here again. My husband is a true carnivore and even he was dissatisfied with his experience each time and now has taken to calling it "Fogo de Crap." Definitely not the best dining experience in the city.

“Wonderful, as always!!”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

My husband and I have been to this restaurant many times. We have always received amazing service---starting with the valet and ending with a table greet from the manager. Food is always good. The salad bar is amazing---it's hard to save room for the entree. The types of meat are always cooked the way we want and if not every effort is made to get it for us. We try to save room for the strawberry cream dessert.....it is worth it. One suggestion I have for "new" guest is to drink water with your meal. If you want to be able to sample most of the meats, don't drink beverages that will fill you up (ex. beer).

“Not as good as the first time”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

wife and our long time dinner couple ate at FdC last nite. Even tho its pricey, it was our second visit because the first was so outstanding. I'm not sure what happened in the interim 8 months, but we all went away disappointed. Yes, the salad bar is still fresh and great. And yes, meat right off the grill is a nice touch, but the meat was inconsistent even within the same cuts. Overall, the pork loin was our table's favorite. The bacon wrapped fillet was very good if got a rare/medium rare piece - otherwise it was very average. The picanha, if cut thin and not over cooked, was very tasty, but a couple "end" pieces were tough and flat tasting. The pork ribs were hard to find much meat on. The bacon wrapped chicken was tasty but dry. The side dishes not memorable altho my wife had multiple helpings of the scalloped potatoes. Our server recommended a very nice bottle of Spanish tempanillo at $50, it went very well with the variety of meats served.
So all in all, an Ok meal with attentive service and no sense of being rushed, but just not great like we expected/remembered.

“I'd eat here again”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Visited Indianapolis over the 4th of July weekend and stopped in here for dinner. If you like meat (and I do), this is the place! This is a typical Brazilian churrascaria restaurant (although it is a chain) and the meat is prepared and served guacho style. There was a wide variety of meats to choose from and everything was prepared nicely. The service was good too. I wouldn't call it a relaxing experience, and it's definitely not a romantic restaurant, but we had fun. If you're not into meat, avoid this restaurant.
