“Go Hungry”

My husband and I went to this restaurant on a recommendation from a friend. I thought it would be a nice treat since my husband loves meat (to truly appreciate this restaurant, you must be a meat eater!). The first course is a buffet that has over 60 items on it. Once you have finished that you flip a disc over to tell the servers you are ready, and ready you better be! You are first presented with your sides, mashed potatoes (I believe they were garlic), cheese pastry, fried plantains, and fried polenta with shredded parmesan; then the meat, so much meat…lamb, pork, chicken, sirloin. All of the meat was seasoned to perfection and in small portions for you to try a little of each. The trick is remembering to flip your disc over to stop the serves from coming over. Most importantly pace yourself. It is easy to get full quickly. I would recommend having an even balance between the salad bar and the main course.

The service was great and our plates were never empty. One issue we had was knowing who we were tipping. You don’t have just one server, the was the person who took our drink order, the servers who brought us the meat (at least 10 different people), the people who pick up our empty dishes (two that I could count), as you can see quite a few people to tip.
The experience was great and I would definitely go again. I read from another trip advisor review to go during lunch and I agree you get the same menu as the dinner menu, but at less of the price.

“Top Quality”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2012

This was great, unique experience. The salad bar was fabulous with a great variety of upscale items including hearts of palm, smoked salmon, pasta salads, etc. However, don't fill up on this because many of the meats are superb. They have a great system where they give you a coaster that is red on one side and green on the other. When the meat servers to come to your table, you turn over the green side. If it is red, they do not disturb you.
The lamb and filet were wonderful. The great news is that if one cut of meat is not to your liking, you can just push it aside on your plate and wait for another. The service was very attentive. Several times not only were we asked if everything was good, but if there was paticular cut we would like them to bring back.
The wines were reasonable and the Argentinean Malbecs were very good.
The mashed potatoe side was good, but I was not impressed with the braised bananas. I would rather have had rice.
While it is a bit expensive, it is worth the money and the experience.

“Worth it!!!!”

Very good restaurant. Great selection at salad bar, complete with fresh parmesan cheese, smoked salmon, etc. The quality of the meats were exceptional.

We were a large group of 20+ people and the staff were attentive however, often the gaucho's didn't serve all of our guests. When a comment was made to our waitress, it was addressed quickly and to our complete satisfaction.

“Best Steak I have had.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2012

Been to one other Brazilian Steak House and was pretty good, but this took it to a whole other level. The steak was cooked perfect (all types) especially the house specialty. The staff was great and worked very well as a team. if you ran out of something, before you could look to flag someone down, they had a refill for you. Only thing I would suggest is that you take plenty of time as you will be there for a while.
