I've lived in indianapolis for 12 years, and have never experienced the beauty and education the War Memorial has to offer. Beautiful monument, free museum (30,000 sq feet), and tons Hoosier history! Visit to the shrine room is a must, breathtaking ceiling. Be sure to take a tour to hear about the makings of this great hidden Indianapolis gem!

Nice presentation, clean, well attended and helpful staff. Impressive displays very humbled by the sacrifice of so many for so few.

I had never been here! The museum was very nice, but a bit hard to navigate. View from the steps was great. Very clean and a must-do. More for adults- kids would prob be bored.

This is an impressive monument; a must see on your visit to Indy! Monument Circle is right in the middle of the city.

The monument is terrific! We took the $2 elevator since the stairs are very claustrophobic! Plus a young member of our group twisted her ankle at the top due to the steps getting slippery - they warn about that too- the A/C contributes to that. The views are amazing! Very worthwhile. Also the whole area is lit up at night and there is a Starbucks still open for those who like an evening stroll which is very nice!
