“A must see!”
Reviewed January 8, 2014

Ok museum! However, the big thing is the bus ride around the track with guiding in this hallowed ground in worldwide motor sports, and of course kissing the red bricks!

“500 reason's to go!”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

If you like cars or racing then you have heard of the Indy 500. A visit to the track is worth it even if you can not go to the race. The museum has a ton of really old and original racers from the early years that you can not see anywhere else. Your price of admission also gets you a bus ride around the track. How many people can say they have ridden on the track? Take some milk with you and chug it when you cross the finish line. You can also golf here and the indy 500 is not the only race in town.

“Best Deal in Town”
Reviewed January 1, 2014

Any race fan that comes to Indy needs to visit the IMS Museum. Not only do they have Indy cars there they also have NASCAR, motorcycles, and at least one car that raced and Le Mans. Look for the large B&W picture on the west side of the building with a view of the start of the race going into the first turn. The face of the closest man in the stands is Clark Gable!

Have fun and enjoy!

“Definitely worth a visit”
Reviewed January 1, 2014

I have been lucky enough to attend the Indianapolis 500 twice, but this was my first visit to the museum. They have some of the cars that won the race and replicas of some of the others. The signage was very concise and helpful. It's a small museum and you could cover it in 1-2 hours. They have a movie about the raceway that was extremely interesting. It lasted about 20 minutes or so. I'm not really a car person, but I do wish I'd had more time here. If you have any interest in racing or this race in particular, you should definitely visit.

“My other home.”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

Being back home again in Indiana is not complete without a tour of the Hall of Fame museum. The automobile is almost 125 years old and racing at this very track is now 104 years old with the Indy 500 having been run in 97 and counting of those years. There is no other place like it.
