Traveled from Michigan with our grandchildren ages 7 and 9 just to visit this museum. We had heard wonderful things about it and were not disappointed. So much to do and see! Included in the admission price are free tickets to the Planetarium shows and there also was a live theater performance the day we visited. Both were excellent. Be sure to get your free tickets right away when you arrive so you can plan your day. We were happy to do something that included sitting 2 times during the day! The dinosaur exhibit is spectacular, but our grandkids liked the temporary gecko exhibit the best. Wish we would have gone to the 4th floor first to science area. We visited on a very busy day during spring break, and it was hard for the kids to try all the things in that exhibit by the time we made it up there in the afternoon. The food court is VERY pricey, but you can bring your own lunch and stash it in a locker ($1 rental fee). The carousel is an extra dollar per person to ride. Nothing special, but of course the kids wanted to ride. Plan on several hours. Get there when it opens to avoid crowds in line for tickets. I wish we had taken the option of prepurchasing tickets on line!
