“A step back in time -- with great food on the journey!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

Nick's Kitchen is partly famous for its being the place that Dan Quayle announced his political aspirations. It's MOST famous, however, fo rits great pork tenderloins. They are, simply put, the way tenderloins should be -- fresh, flattened, lightely breaded, and perfectly fried. The other sandwiches (fish sandwiches, hamburgers) are just as good too. Most of the sides are freshly made, and the pies are literally like grandma used to make. You'll feel like you stepped back into the 50s -- in a local diner where the owner or owner's friend cooks and greets the customers. Nothing fancy . . . just good!

“God must love the common man, he made so many of them. "A. Lincoln"”

Common Man eatery. Eggs, bacon, toast, coffee. Good start to work day. Not fancy. No white linen on the table. Obama looking for ways to tax these small places out of existence.

“Always great food.”

We tease Jean Anne that nothing at Nick's is good for you, but everything is great.. Not really true she has wonderful salads, but if you make the trip have a tenderlion.

“Have The Pork Tenderloin Sandwich...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2012

Your typical greasy spoon/cafe with good service and decent food at a fair price. Decided I had to have the pork tenderloin, the signature sandwich of Huntington and invented at Nick's. The pork tenderloin is smashed thin, deep fried in cracker crust, served on a nice soft bun with pickles, tomato, onion and mayo....deelish! The fries on the side were hot and tasty, too.
If you are hungry for a simple hearty lunch at the right price, then go on over to Nick's and have the pork tenderloin sandwich with fries, you won't be disappointed.
