Description: Timeless in its beauty and stylishness, Sinclair's offers an impressive dinner menu and wine list. This restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner for two, or a celebratory dinner for many. Named after Lee W. Sinclair, one of the original owners of West Baden Springs Hotel. Sinclair brought sophistication to Southern Indiana and transformed the hotel into a slice of European elegance in America. Located just off of the West Baden Springs Hotel Atrium.

We ate at Sinclair's in West Baden while staying at the French Lick Hotel last week. It is very beautiful inside, and you feel like you're stepping back in time to a beautiful room with gorgeous decor. The service is excellent, and the wine list impressive. They also have french press coffee which my husband and I really appreciated, as that's hard to find in restaurants! It is expensive, and the meals are a la carte, but it's on par with what you'd pay at a nice steakhouse in Chicago. For example, the steaks are around $50, but you could get fish or pasta for more like $20 - $30, and they have excellent appetizers and I had a delicous lobster bisque soup. After dinner, be sure to walk around in the gardens in front of the hotel, they're so beautiful. Overall, a great, unique dining experience but don't go here if you're not prepared to spend at least $100 overall for the food and alcohol.

Our server was so helpful, with the perfect amount of attention. The food was wonderful. They even put together a special dinner for me when I couldn't decide between the crab cakes and steak - I got some of both. Wonderful place.

Have enjoyed buffets at French Lick Colonnade but they weren't doing one for Mother's Day. Sister resort at West Baden did offer brunch so decided to try. Menu looked pretty good although pricey at $55 per person. West Baden atrium is lovely. However, it is a huge, cathedral like area and they chose to have no pleasant background music to help the atmosphere. This was a buffet so we served ourselves but had to go looking for someone to refill cold drinks as well as request coffee/ tea at dessert. I felt invisible to the staff- and my lack of tip reflected that. Food was uninspiring, too. I couldn't help but compare it to much better food at other buffets. Honestly, Gasthof Amish restaurant in Montgomery, Indiana, has a better tasting buffet at $12 a person and better service. I have had other meals at Sinclair's that have ranged from so-so to pretty good but none that was outstanding as I believe this place should be. Service has been better in the past, too. Don't know what the issue was as I could see servers just standing by the coffee station doing nothing. Will be a long time returning here- if ever.
