We have been to the winery several times and enjoy the free wine tasting, which always entices us to buy a bottle. We thought we'd try the restaurant, which is Italian fare. The decor is nothing special and the seating is open, so you are out in the middle with the shoppers and the wine-tasters. The staff wasn't very friendly. After ordering, we went to the tasting counter. The servers seem bored and ready to end their shift. (This was a Saturday night around 7pm) I'd expect at least black pants/white shirt from staff instead of the waitress wearing, "I Survived the Boogie," T-shirt. We both ordered the baked Ziti, which was nothing more than penne pasta covered with pasta sauce and green peppers with mozzarella in a small dish. Though only $7.95 and the least expensive entree on the menu, you must order your salad and bread separate. We did order the bread with dipping oil, which was very good.
French Lick is a fun place to visit, but we won't be eating at the Vintage Cafe again.
