“Good Value!”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

This is a nice hotel ( looks like a recent renovation of an older hotel, but adequate.) The price was right the location perfect - next to the outlet mall and next to the highway and on or which we were heading from. The staff was super helpful and friendly. They offered us milk &cookies a/o popcorn when we arrived. Then gave us good suggestions for dinner, nearby.

I stopped in at 10 p.m. without a reservation. No problems at all. Friendly staff and a big room with a king size bed. Some aspects of the bathroom could have used an update - but everything was tidy and clean. I spotted some family travelers and a solo business traveler as I checked in.

I really appreciate the fact that they have a sign in the bathroom encouraging guests to re-use their towels so as to save on laundry/energy. Green and common sense.

When we arrived at this hotel, having called ahead for a reservation, we were greeted by a friendly and efficient front desk staff member who had already looked up our Priority Club number and made up a new card for us. And that was indicative of the rest of our stay. The room was clean and bright, they provided popcorn in the late afternoon and fresh-baked cookies in the evening, and the breakfast room was spacious and comfortable. The AAA book does not say that this is a pet-friendly hotel, but it is. We'll definitely be back -

Stayed in a jacuzzi room. This one was considered a suite w/ a couch, and adjoining kitchenette space. There was a dining alcove just inside the door. The king size bed was very comfortable. The pillows were very soft; but there were many of them for adequate support. The heating/cooling worked well. The microwave & frig were fine. There was some basic kitchen equipment. The cable TV did not have music. But, there was a large radio/alarm clock next to the bed and a wall-mounted radio in the kitchen area. The cable TV also included two, 24 hr, christian religious channels (seemed unusual). The jacuzzi was larger than others we have seen. The water jets ran at only one speed. The bathroom had two sinks and a walk-in shower. There was good water pressure; and the water seemed especially soft.

The building public areas were in good shape; seemed like a newer structure. There was one public access computer. It was located in the public seating/free-breakfast area. The treadmills both worked well. The outdoor pool was still open after Labor Day. It was a little cool; but very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was good. One worker kept everything well stocked and clean. Did not see a pancake machine; like some HI Express locations. Nice selection of food items. The eggs were served folded over; omelet-like w/ some pink, ground meat-like filling. There were also sausage patties. Both of these items appeared highly processed. But, they tasted fine; and, hey, its a free breakfast … isn't it? This hotel served warm cookies and milk in the evening. The evening reception person maintained this option for more than an hour.

All of the staff, the afternoon, evening, and morning check-out people were uniformly efficient and helpful. They conveyed a friendly atmosphere to the hotel.

We will stay here again.

We spent the night here on our way to Milwaukee, the place was very clean and offered a nice breakfast and even had cookies and milk in the evening. The manager Troy was very nice and directed us to a nice restaurant with good food and a nice view of the lake just up the road. There was a nice sized outdoor pool that was also heated. We stayed here with priority club points expecting to get a standard room with a king bed, much to our surprise they gave us a king room with a jacuzzi in it that was very welcomed after a long day on the road on our motorcycle. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip out to Milwaukee. There is also a nice patio area just off the lobby seating area where you can enjoy your morning coffee.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the woods in the back are nice and quiet!

I stayed here for two nights in early September while on a business trip. I've also stayed at the other hotels in the local area, and this one is the nicest. The staff are friendly even if they aren't always at the front desk. I got the impression they were short handed but I give them points for trying hard.

There is a pool that looks well kept but it's outdoors. There is an exercise room with the usual equipment, treadmill, stair climber and they all work.

The rooms are a little dated but newer and they are kept clean. WiFi worked very well and is free as usual at Holiday Inn. The free breakfast was nicer than usual at Holiday Inn, the food was fresh and there was plenty of it. Beds were medium to firm and comfortable, I slept very well.

You're literally within walking distance of the outlets if that's your thing. Bubba's Pizza is a good recommendation if you want some pizza or for a nicer dinner that's reasonably priced, I recommend driving about one mile north to the Lake George Retreat (see my other review).

I'll stay here again when I'm back this way.

We were very pleased with this hotel. It is right next to the Fremont outlets. It's a great place to get out and stretch after a long car ride. The hotel is clean, and they serve warm cookies and cold milk in the evening. The breakfast in the morning was very nice. Staff was very pleasant. A good place to stop.
