Main Street Pub and Eatery is a very unique restaurant and is a great place to take your out-of-town guests. Our sister and brother-in-law were visiting from Florida. They say they can never get a good breaded tenderloin sandwich in the South; so they love to go somewhere for pork tenderloin when they come to Indiana. We were in the "fun" part of the restuarant -- the Johnny V Sports section, and we did enjoy the aesthetics and the food. You walk downstairs to the lower level for the Sports bar part, and of course sports t.v.'s are playing all over the place. We started with their spicy salted snacks that are on every table, and ordered a drink. Next, we ordered a couple of Tilapia dinners, and our guest from Florida ordered the breaded Pork Tenderloin sandwiches and salads. All of us really liked the food and ambiance. This is a great place to go for locals and guests!

Let me start out by saying I really wanted this food to be above average so I could write a glowing review considering that the management was warm and welcoming and that the company I was in was excellent, but it wasn't and thus I cannot.
The atmosphere was alright but not outstanding. Sometimes when the lights are perfect and the background music soothing or engaging, it makes the evening go by better. This was not the case. Besides what I noted above, the old pictures on the wall seemed contrived and not representative of the town or surrounding areas.
Our waiter was more than friendly enough and knowledgable and drinks, as expected, were well available. I reviewed the menu which appeared adequate enough and selected grilled teriyaki shrimp on skewers, a house salad, and a side of cottage cheese. The salad was below expectations and the grilled shrimp were simply that with a thin layer of sauce placed upon it after the fact of grilling. In other words it was tasteless. It is telling when the best part of the meal was the cottage cheese.
My recommendations are obvious: give the place some consistent atmosphere and bring in fresher food. But if you want average, then this is the place for you.

I always go here for a breaded tenderloin when I'm in Frankfort. Sometimes the service is better than other times. I was there twice recently and one time the waitress gabbed at the barman all the time and the other visit I had a good waitress who was attentive.
