“Gem of a Ballpark, but missed the home run!”
Reviewed May 27, 2014

Having visited a lot of ballparks, both major league and minor league, I have to say this is indeed a real gem! Clean, plenty of concession areas, nice seating, excellent field grooming, good digital scoreboard, nice prices, family friendly, good swag shop, lots of variety in food and snacks, awesome sight lines, good parking situations, nearby hotels and restaurants...all make for a delightful evening for baseball fans. One of the best I have seen anywhere from Arizona to Boston. If you are going to be near Fort Wayne, and there is a game scheduled, you would do yourself a favor to check this place out! I have only one complaint....having seen pictures of the park, which, by the way, look beautiful, I was very surprised to see that they allowed an apartment building (complete with lower level restaurant(s) and stores) to be built at the back of left field. The problem with that? They completely screwed up the fabulous view of the cityscape from inside the ball park!!! Nothing beats a nicely lit cityscape at night that can be seen during a ball game! What were they thinking? Tear that white elephant down and go back to the awesome city view....which, after all, is very inviting and makes one want to see more of the town. When you have to see a big block of boring apartments, you don't really get excited about the rest of the town because YOU CAN'T SEE IT!! Sigh. Bad mistake.

“would be 5 stars but they build a bloody apartment complex over it”
Reviewed May 22, 2014

love it but the awful apartment complex they built over it blocks the view of the whole city and ruined what was a amazing ball park

Went to an evening game for the Tin Caps.
It was a great family experience! Our seats were good and close
and the stadium was clean. Parked in a dirt lot close by 10 minutes after the game started. Will do this again.

Parkview Field is a gem. It is certainly the cleanest sports venue I've ever visited. The food is very good, the seating comfortable, the parking convenient, and the views outstanding. It's an awesome location for families - especially considering the price and other family-friendly activities.

“Best midwest ballpark”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

With all the naysayers regarding the Fort Wayne downtown ballpark.....they pulled out all the stops. It is a fabulous place and worth a visit even if you don't like baseball. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is unbeatable.
