Parkview Field is a great place to see a minor league baseball game. The new stadium is a major improvement over the old one, and the location is nice right downtown. As with most minor league parks, the costs are low, they have more entertainment than you would ever see at a major league game, and they cater much more to the fan.
One of the nice features is the area behind the outfield fence which is a big hill, perfect for families with little kids who have no interest in sitting in a chair for 9 innings.
The only downside, and this is no fault of the team or field...is the level of play is relatively low for a professional baseball team. Being a single A ball team, you don't get to see many guys that will ever make the big leagues. The plus side of this though, is you don't ever see the guys who are making millions who look like they don't care, these guys are all playing 100% trying to get noticed by the big league team.
Overall, a very nice way to spend a day out at the ballpark and if you don't care about seeing major league players you can save yourself a boatload, sit closer to the action, and see guys who are giving it their all.
