ACPL has an extremely comprehensive and accessible family history collection. In addition they have ample public computers and free printing. Photocopiers are also available for a fee. Librarians are knowledgeable and helpful. Other parts of the library are excellent as well and there is a Dunkin Donuts on site. What's not to like?!

Our genie club spent a week at the library looking up family heritage. Found more information than I thought possible. Great place, easy access, helpful staff!

“Dunkin' Donuts at the library? Genius!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2014

There is a Dunkin' Donuts coffee shop co-located with the library that also sells used books. Such a deal! There is a large seating area to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and snack while perusing the books. The children's section is the best I have ever seen! The Exploration Area has toys and dress up as well as a drama area for younger children to draw, build, play, read, create and imagine while a parent share the experience (it's a "no technology" zone). Clean, pleasant and well thought out with a fantastically friendly and knowledgeable staff. I didn't get a chance to walk through the art gallery but AN ART GALLERY IS ATTACHED! All libraries should be like this one!

“Great library experience in many areas!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2014

I love libraries in general and this is one of the best. Of course their genealogy area is unmatchable. So much information is available at your disposal - you don't have to order the books or films brought to you. Lots of space and nice personnel. This library is so much more though. Huge fiction, business and non fiction areas too. Large magazine section and children's area so there is something for everyone. Lots of meeting rooms and a theater too. The only thing I will warn someone about is that this place is BIG! There is a large, long open area down the center and you will have to walk a ways to get anywhere. There are elevators at both ends and there is a parking garage in the basement for a fee, but you have to use a separate elevator from there to the main floor. There is a Dunkin Donuts shop on the main floor so you don't have to leave the premises once you are there. (There are several good eateries in the 2-3 blocks around the library though! Tosconi's is my fave.) There are a couple of library parking lots for a fee nearby and on street parking with meters during the weekdays. The meters are free on the weekends. Give them a visit!

not sure i've seen a modern library like it, great features for kids too, the play area and the reading nooks got fully explored, and lovely fish tanks too. they have a full sized theater hidden in the lower levels and stop and take a min to watch the giant globe spin
