The Good: Excellent atmosphere, tremendous food, wonderful greeting and an offer for a complimentary photo as we were celebrating our Anniversary. The Bad: outrageous wine prices. After being seated we felt like we got forgotten. The wait staff seemed hurried and bothered, maybe we upset their pattern by deciding to sit on the same side of the table. The water glasses got emptied and sat on the table begging for a refill. They swooped in and darted off so fast it took five attempts to finally get a replacement napkin. Once dinner was complete they cleaned off the table and started resetting it before we even got the check. The manager responded to our complaint with a gift card--unlikely to be used. Summary: excellent food, great atmosphere, friendly door staff. Hopefully you get a night with wait staff that makes the event what it should be.

Went to Peterson's with another couple and once again found everything to be superb. We ordered wine that was quite good, and the table shared a few appetizers and salads. We were doing a lot of talking and were eating those quite slowly when our entrees arrived. No big deal for us, but our servers seemed beside themselves that the food had been delivered while we still had our appetizer dishes on the table (as if it was our fault for them being efficient and us being slow). The entrees (filet, crab, and another fish dish i can't remember now) were all fantastic. We were perfectly happy with everything when the server comes up and says "the Chef is sorry the food was delivered before you were ready and is sending out dessert for you." Holy mackerel they weren't kidding they sent out this tray filled with desserts that was enough for 6 people. Totally unnecessary but appreciate the lengths they went to ensure our satisfaction.

Great prime steak (had the ribeye) and wife and friends had the braised rib... tasted extremely well prepared and cooked to perfection! Service was sub-par for the cost of the meal however...literally waited 15-20 minutes after being seated for drinks and then forever again for ordering...was diff from my previous visit here w level of service....doughnuts for desert are mouth watering

We have been here twice, once to celebrate an anniversay and the second time, to spoil ourselves. The seafood and steaks that we had were outstanding both times. The wine was excellent. Service is top notch! I highly recommend this place. just to give you an idea of the prices. The first visit I spent around $220 including tip. The second time I spent $300....... for us and our budget this is a once a year or two place.

I visited Peterson's with my husband & another couple. We decided to take advantage of the North Side Nights menu offerings which gave a choice of soup/salad, entree & dessert for $30. We also ordered the prosciutto wrapped shrimp and an order of oysters Rockefeller. The shrimp were excellent--the oysters were average. Pricey at $20 thus disappointing for an average offering. There was a great wine list and we found a new wine to enjoy!

Our table had both filet and salmon. They were good, prepared to temperature. The special menu offered a 6oz filet which was more than enough. The squash soup was delicious and creamy. The beet salad but just 'ok'-- I wouldn't order it again. Creme brûlée was our dessert selection and Peterson's served up a solid version. The service was very good, but you had the definite feeling that you were on the clock and being rushed through in order to accommodate other guests. This is at direct odds with the graciousness of the setting and other service 'positives'. Our server removed our final check from the table before we left. NO! Who trains these people?
