My boyfriend and I were in need of a night to ourselves, but needed something affordable and nearby. The Comfort Inn went above and beyond our expectations. We were stopping at the Wendy's located next to it and decided to give it a try and check the prices. The clerk at the front desk gave us a 10% discount and we were sold. I was apprehensive at first because it would seem that this hotel is in the middle of nowhere. But alas, we had an extremely clean room, more than friendly service and the complimentary breakfast was good, but if you're looking for something more there's always a wendy's conveniently located just mere feet away.

And if you're looking for something to explore while Holiday World and Splashin' Safari are closed, the nearby towns of Ferdinand and Jasper have many great little shops and historical places to explore. I would definitely stay there again and again. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great, quiet place to stay at an affordable price.

Have been a Choice Hotel customer many times, this time was a stinker. Apparently cleanliness is not a consideration for this owner. The pool water was so cloudy it seemed to be milk and you could not even begin to see bottom. I was assured the pool was attended to every day. The top floor was HOT and stank of smoke. Our bathroom had no fan, the vanity lights were mismatched and the carpet was covered with crumbs. This is the closest facility to Holiday World, but believe me, drive on down the road, there has to be something better, or at least cleaner. I am awaiting a call from Choice for an adjustment, we paid about $400 for one room for two nights. Never again. Wish I had taken photos for evidence.

My boyfriend and I were in need of a stop over for the night from a long drive and this hotel was the perfect destination. Denny's is right next door and it really hit the spot as well! A clean, tidy stay is always appreciated. This hotel room was very large and had nice hardwood furniture. The bathroom was also larger than the average hotel room offered.

We were planning on camping near Holiday World but I thought I'd check the local hotels first. After seeing a $80 a night MOTEL 6(!) I was worried. But a few exits up the highway was this Comfort Inn, next to a Wendys and a Gas/Food mart. We ended up snagging a room for $65, and got discounted Holiday World tickets which further offset the price of the room. We saved $6 per ticket, meaning the room was closer to $50, amazing! The property looked pretty new and the room was clean, although it wasn't specacular. We needed a clean room for catching some rest and thats exactly what we got! I didn't check the other ammenities but for the price, who cares?!?

Great stay for a very good price!

Word of warning- Holiday World is in a different county, and with Indiana being on their STUPID daylight/non daylight savings garbage, you're an hour behind. In reality, you're about 5 minutes away!

The hotel was nice - room was clean, and it was nice to have the fridge/micro in the room too. Pool was small, but perfect for my 5 & 8 yr old. Only 3-4 ft deep & the water was nice & warm.

The breakfast included cereal, bagels, hard boiled eggs, fruit, and make your own waffles. Was dissapointed that the "orange juice" at breakfast was really Sunny D, and there was no hot water and cocoa packets for the kiddos, only coffee.

This was a very convenient place to stay while going to Holiday World. Less than a 10 minute drive to get there, which was very nice. There is a gas station and Wendy's next to the motel, which was also convenient. The Wendy's was very very busy in the evening after Holiday World closed, though.

Paid $67.xx a night for this stay, which was o.k. but still a little high in my book. I watched this hotel for our other summer trips to Holiday World. In June, the rate was $139.xx a night and in August, the rate on the web was $169.xx a night -- which is just insane. There is no way this hotel is worth that much.

My advice would be to watch the rates online & book EARLY to get the best deal... OR... go at a "lower peak" time to get a decent rate.

Was nice and clean and close to Holiday World. The continental breakfast was not very good, but all in all things were good. Satff was very pleasant. There are not very many restaraunts in Ferdinand, but there are two I discovered that were very good - one was a tavern called Fleig's cafe which offered mostly sandwiches - but food was good and reasonable. The other was a brand new Mexican restaurant right across from the Citgo station on main st where the food was excellent , prices good and staff very nice.

Planned a trip to Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana. Booked 2 nights at the Comfort Inn at $80.99 per night. The hotel was very clean and nice. The small indoor pool was just the right size for my 5 and 8 year old kids. Free internet access in the lobby. There is a free continental breakfast which has cereal, some fruit, bagels, toast, juice and milk. You can make your own waffle. Like mentioned in the previous reviews, there is only a Wendy's and a gas station near the hotel. The Wendy's was packed every morning and night, so you need to drive to Jasper, Indiana to have a choice of restaurants.
There is also a Denny's closer to the hotel, but it was very crowded.
If you don't want to drive and fight the crowds, eat at Holiday World. The food is very inexpensive at Holiday World. I would recommend this hotel if I were going to Holiday World.
