“Wonderful”

Olive Garden is one of my favorite resturants. The food is great. Breadsticks and salad are amazing. The service can be slow at times but it gives you time to enjoy yourself and talk if you are with a group of friends.

“Love the menu changes”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

The Evansville Olive Garden is a test market for their new and upcoming dishes. They always have new items on the menu. This is good if you like to try new things but bad if you have an old favorite because it may get bumped for a new dish.

“Not bad, slow when busy”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

We arrived around 12:30 on a Saturday, and had to wait about 20-30 minutes outside for a table. We were seated and the host failed to ask if we needed a high chair for our child, as he should have. So the waitress had to look for one, which delayed her. She then returned and took our drink order. She seemed either new, or stressed. She was really struggling. She brought our salad and breadsticks, at the same time as another table which I believe was seated after us. She provided them their salad and breadsticks before ours. She then had another table seated also. There was some sort of issue with our order, and our child's plate was missing the chicken she said it wasn't finished yet when she brought our food, she would check on it later. It was probably another 5 + minutes before she returned with the chicken. The wife had to ask for a refill, because she didn't recognize that my wife's glass was empty. Most Olive Garden wait staff will have you a new glass out before you are half way through your first.

I ordered the Taste of Italy, and it was great, but not impressive, the Chicken patty used was overcooked on one corner and clearly burned and black. No other issues. They had left the wine glasses in the way when we were seated, and we didn't use them. We were never offered any samples of wine, like normally most OG's will do.

The wine glasses being left on the tables getting pushed around, who would want to drink from them anyways. A waitress took the wine glasses off of another table after the waitress noticed that the children at the table had poured their drinks into them and were drinking from them. She mentioned something about them not being allowed to drink from those glasses.

Not a spectacular trip, probably will avoid this Olive Garden next time.

“Sunday Lunch”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

Had not been at Olive Garden for about 3 months. Since it was the day before New Years and a busy shopping day, the short wait was expected. I had the Seafood Portinfino and my wife had Trio Marino. The salad and bread sticks were exceptional as always. The first thing we noticed was the size of the portion was much smaller than what we remembered. My dish had alot more chopped mushrooms accounting for less seafood. The quality and flavor was still great but the portion was the disappointment that was the talk of the table. The server was learning and will gain professionalism and speed with time. I left questioning the value for the dollars spent.

“Great food, great service!”

Great food and great service. We visited on a cold snowy day the day after Christmas and found a warm and inviting atmosphere. Will definately go back.
