I've been eating at Roppongi regularly since it opened. It's my favorite meal in the area, and I actually prefer it to most sushi places in Chicago. I love sushi, and my husband is a complete sushi-snob. I like traditional maki, like spicy salmon, but the Gun Woo is the bomb. So good. Hubs orders nigiri (yellowtail, super-white, etc). He likes their offerings, but says "it's not as good as the stuff you can get in Hawaii or California,". Which is a ridiculous statement. C'mon...this is southern indiana, and it's damn good sushi!!!
I've been told that Korean ppl own it. If this is true, they need to offer Kalbi beef w/sides to make lettuce wraps. Please???
Prices are great. If we have sushi & wine in Chicago, it's $150 easy. At roppongi, a comparable meal with wine is like $75.
