“Very nice museum”
Reviewed April 6, 2014

This is a very nice and interesting museum on the riverfront downtown Evansville. There is a nice art exhibit along with a great history of Evansville, which I really enjoyed. This museum is well worth price and the 1-2 hour visit.

There are so much to see here. The new Koch Immersive Theater is amazing. Can't wait to see future shows. The history and art sections are awesome. The visit is a great deal.

“Good museum and it's getting better!”
Reviewed January 30, 2014

This museum is currently adding on and I'm totally psyched about that! It has some neat exhitibits, beautiful paintings, Lincoln's furniture, and interesting facts. I've been multiple times and never get tired of it.

“Do not miss this museum!”
Reviewed January 19, 2014 via mobile

If you are just passing by and there is only one stop you can make while in Evansville, then I would say go to this museum. It is not only what is inside; it is the location too, right on the banks of the Ohio River! The collections are not big, but contain some hidden gems like a pastel painting by Janet Monafo ("Brass Pile") which is a masterwork! The history section has some nice exhibits on the daily life on the 18th and 19th centuries, photos and even videos of the Great Flood, and a very good exhibit on the LST warship. The only thing that I found odd is that they don't give you a museum plan or brochure; other than that, this is a visit worth your time!

“Always a gem to discover here!”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

This is the second time I've visited Evansville's museum. Today it was a treat to take in the traveling exhibit on Frank Lloyd Wright's work on Samara, an Indiana home he designed in the 50's for a couple on a budget. It was so fun to immerse ourselves in this eminent architect's philosophy of creating homes that seem organic to the landscape.

I've also spent time in the art gallery and been impressed by the collection of American landscape artists. This is so worth the time you can spend, and is free to the public, although a donation is welcome. A stroll outside along the Ohio River promenade is a good way to stretch your legs after an hour or two in the museum.
