We went a couple years ago. Very interesting place. If you like history, or Indiana, you should enjoy this park!

I haven't been in years, but remember several field trips here growing up. Maybe I would see things differently as an adult now, but I'm not sure how.

It was a great place if you like to check out nature and explore. Could use a little sprucing up though.

I grew up in the area and used to come to the park on field trips. The park has fallen in to disrepair over the last 20 years. The visitors center is nice and is informative. Once you get in the park, the trails are not clearly marked so most the time you are kinda just wandering around a big grassy field. The "village" is in bad shape and in need of a lot of repair.

The park had once been farm land so what you are looking at is not what the Mississippian who lived here would have seen. To be honest except for the two main mounds it's pretty much just a grassy field. Most the parks problems come from funding problems they are a National Historic Site not a National Park therefore they don't get the tax funding. I think this is a horrid failing of our Federal Park system because this is such an important site for American Pre-History.

The area is nice to walk around (go on a cool day though because there is very little shade) but don't go expecting to see what life was like 2,000 years ago.

Could be great but the plae was very rundown. Many of the displays in the museum were empty or not working properly for interactive use.
