BIG suite (#423) friendly front desk help, tasty breakfast, very nice swimming pool, and even a movie room really impresssed us on our stay 4/23. I tried to find something I did not like! Very convenient to Interstate, ample parking for a truck and car trailer, and within walking distance to three restaurants, The grandkids loved the outdoor area, and although I am a diehard Marriott person, I will make an exception and stay here again. Probably the nicest hotel in Elkhart, and I should know, as I am there once a month for family fun.

Room Tip: Ask for the big suite.

Good Stay in this hotel off the interstate. Was trying to push to Cleveland and had to shutt er down. Not much in Elkhart the town. The hotel was new and still had a new built home smell. The hotel has an Applebees across the street and some kind of texas steak house across the Interstate overpass. Free wireless, commercial treadmills and dumbells. The first time ever that I have seen a B Ball court in a hotel too. Friendly atmosphere good stay.

We had 4 rooms there for a work training event. Stayed 3 nights in February. The weather was great and we asked about the outdoor grills. We were told by the desk clerk that they were gas, working, and they had grill tools available for us to use. On our way back from the office, we stopped and picked up $85 worth of food to grill. Went to the front desk to ask the clerk about grill tools and she said the grills weren't on and wouldn't be until spring. The other clerk had misinformed us. We were understandably upset.

We talked to the manager, who was completely unhelpful. He did not offer us any sort of compensation for the $85 of groceries we had bought, or offer to have the grills turned on. After asking for priority club points, he said he could give me 500 points, but would not give them to my coworkers. That's not very much. We were very disappointed with his poor attitude. We have requested our company to use a different hotel in the future.

Their breakfast in the morning is mediocre at best. There's a Hilton Garden Inn across the street that has a much better breakfast and better, more well-informed staff.

The facility was decent, though, and if it wasn't for the poor service, would have been happy to return.

We recently went to Elkhart to visit an elderly relative living in an assisted living facility there. We had tentatively planned to stay at another pet-friendly property but were far more impressed with the exterior appearance of this property. This was our first stay ever at a
Staybridge but will certainly not be our last.
The staff during our stay was very friendly and the hotel was immaculate in all the public areas. It is architecturally very interesting, especially the open Breakfast area.
Our studio suite was across from the two elevators but we did not hear anything. Most of the
other guests had left the next morning by the time we got going but again we had heard nothing outside our room.
The studio suite was spacious and in excellent condition. Even though it was a cold night, the room was very comfortable ...(it always amazes us how many hotels even in this day and age do not seem to get the heating right). Decor was fresh and tasteful.
We did not eat breakfast at the hotel so cannot offer any insights there. The snack sales area is a handy asset we took advantage of the night before...thankful we did not have to go out in the cold winter night.
We definitely plan on returning the next time we are in Elkhart.
As an addendum, check out the Vintage Trailer and R.V. Museum. Very impressive.

I recently obtained two rooms and stayed two nights (October 22-24) at the Staybridge Suites in Elkhart Indiana. My parents had a one bedroom suite, and my wife and I had a studio suite. The hotel appears new, and the rooms were very modern and clean. Each room had a kitchenette, inlcuding a refrigerator, an oven, and a microwave.

We stayed at this hotel to be near South Bend Indiana for the USC Notre Dame game (we are USC fans). Due to a medical emergency, we had to stay in the area longer than anticipated. We did check out of this hotel after the two nights so we could stay near the hospital which was close to South Bend. Two days later, my father had realized that he had left his cell phone charger and program from the football game at Staybridge Suites. We called the hotel not expecting they would have these items, but to our surprise, they did have these items and told us we could come and pick them up, which we did later that afternoon.

This was a nice hotel with excellent customer service. I do plan to return when USC comes back to play Notre Dame in 2013.

Room Tip: There is a breakfast buffett every morning which is included in the price of the room. If you need t...

Only one night at this suite hotel traveling but would stay longer for sure. Had a one bedroom suite with 2 queens..clean, roomy, nice area, nice staff, comfy, roomy and plenty of drawers and cabinet in the vanity area for longer stays. I know a regular hotel room would probably cost less but this is the place to stay if you want some breathing space. If you can afford a few dollars more..this is the place to stay.

I recently stayed at the Staybridge Suites Elkhart north while traveling on business. I've stayed at Staybridge hotels before and consistent with my past experiences, this was a good experience. The hotel appears to be fairly new, since everything - parking lot included - is spectacularly clean. It's located right off the Interstate, and although my room faced the highway, noise was not an issue whatsoever. The room was clean and bright, with a full kitchen unit and two flat screen televisions (one in a sitting room, one facing the bed). The bed was more comfortable that I would have expected from a hotel in this price range. Water pressure in the shower was good, and again, everything was spotless.

Desk staff were great, and the hotel business center has a PC where you can print off boarding passes etc. The hotel has a breakfast area with a rather limited, buffet style breakfast, which I took a pass on. Scrambles eggs and those flat sausages are just not my thing.

The hotel is located near several chain restaurants on each side of the highway. My room included free high speed internet. This is true if you plug in - a wireless WiFi service also works, but is really slow.

A pleasant stay, and good value for the dollar.
