First experience with Best Western. Should be renamed Worst Western! Room was very dark. Had to place ironing board in front of bathroom in order to see. Bathroom sink/vanity was in the corner of the bathroom with two framed mirrors. If you wanted to see your whole face to shave or do makeup and hair, you had to turn to the right or turn to the left. Very strange! Toilet was very hard to flush, tub faucet leaked, and sink ran slow. Housekeeping couldn't "understand" why we wouldn't let them in while we were in the room.
Breakfast (I use the term loosley) was the pits. Took a code to get a cup of coffee without splattering all over your clothes. Machine was broken the three days we stayed there.Served expired yogurts. Dining area was to small and they only served until 9, even on the weekends. We went out for breakfast on the last day. Breakfast is part of your room rate and that should not happen. We travel a lot and we will never consider Worst Western again.

Room Tip: Request a room away from the ice machine and elevator.

The carpet on the stairs is very worn. Carpet is the room needs cleaning. The refrigerator is the room didn't work. The firs day went to get coffee downstairs and the coffee machine didn't work UGH!!! and the lady working the breakfast area was aware of the problem. Second morning skipped the coffee and as I was walking out, I overheard someone say the waffle machine was broken.
I guess you get what you pay for. It was the lowest price in the area.

We stayed a week and were well satisfied. We chose a "handicapped accessible" room because it was the size for two queens but just had one queen, giving us more room for our stuff. I'm not sure it would be the greatest for someone in a wheel chair. I am 5' 4'' and had difficulty using the sink. It was raised so high I couldn't brush my teeth comfortably. Other than that, no complaints. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet in spite of being near the lobby, and breakfast was good.

This stay was awful. First off the hotel is said to be non smoking rooms and when you walk in it smells like an ash tray and lingers into your room. The staff manager Jenny called my children liars and called me a liar. Don't bother getting your money back they'll give another night of hell half off. The breakfast was un appealing to a kid who'll eat anything. I wouldn't feed my dog that food. So I had to go to a Cracker Barrel to make up for the bad night. The sheets felt like you are sleeping on a cardboard box. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But the hotel makes up for it by giving you a coupon for 20 dollar piece of crap pizza. When they say heated pool they mean a 15 dollar walmart heater in the pool room. Then the staff isn't even in uniform.

We had a nice stay at this hotel for one night while visiting family in the area. The rooms were clean, but could use a bit of updating (tv's, bathroom). We did smell the "smoke smell" in the lobby/hallway that others spoke about in their reviews, but did not find it in our room. I was travelling with my two young children and was not comfortable letting them roam around on the carpet, but not many motels would have clean enough floors for that anyways. The rooms contain a mini-fridge and microwave, which is helpful when travelling with kids. The staff was friendly, polite and helpful with the exception of the breakfast crew. There were two employees standing around the food area gossiping and had cold, unfriendly attitudes. Since I was preparing breakfast for more than just myself, I had to stand by them and tolerate it a while. A smile and pleasant "good morning" is so easy to do and goes a long way in making a guest feel welcome! Anyways, the breakfast food was ok, nothing great. We used the indoor pool and found it to be decent. We were granted a late checkout so my daughter could swim again in the morning, which was nice. Overall, especially for the price through Priceline, we found our stay to be good.

Room Tip: No elevator, so if you have a lot of gear, ask for the first floor.

We pulled into this hotel at about 11:30 pm to find a place to sleep on a long drive to New Orleans. Because we were getting there later in the evening, the desk clerk knocked a few bucks off of the price. I didn't even have to ask!

Rooms were clean and comfortable, and I slept very soundly. Breakfast was typical free breakfast fare, and fine. No gourmet foods, but quick, free, and convenient.

If you need a place to crash for the night, this hotel will fit the bill very nicely. I'd stay there again.

The service rating would have been higher if the desk clerk would have been able to find my Best Western Rewards membership number. Not sure if this was her fault or a system problem, but she couldn't find me.
