The food is perhaps a cut above typical fast-food fare, but the service is often lax, particularly when John the owner puts kids in charge rather than an adult. We stood at the counter for six minutes one night waiting to order, because the kids were in the back having a good old time, clueless that customers were out front wanting to be served. Another recurring frustration involves the so-called "senior discount." John needs to do a better job of training the kids on the discount. We've been told by some of them that there is no senior discount and by others that only one customer in a party is entitled to it. Other times, we've been told that patrons who have a frequent customer card stamped cannot also be given a senior discount. Phone calls and emails to John for clarification have never been responded to. Perhaps that's his way of telling us he doesn't need our business. That's OK, since there are plenty of other places to spend our money. Irrespective, if a restaurant claims to offer a senior discount, then it ought to do so. At the very least, our inquiries deserve a response.
