“An excellent place to stay!”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

I should have written this review sooner, so that I can tell people why this my favourite B&B! Kelmscott House with its owners Tom & Cheryl are fantastic. My boyfriend and I, and another couple that were our friends stayed here for two nights in May 2012. It was my boyfriends birthday & we were all going to a wedding at Woburn Abbey. I had a constant smile on my face from start to finish. The rooms are amazing, beautifully decorated, amazingly comfortable bed, very spacious and a lovely en suite. They even provided a sponge in the bathroom, which was lucky as I forgot mine! They think of everything!

Cheryl cooks up an amazing breakfast, it tasted great, and whatever you want isnt enough trouble. She even drove my boyfriend and I into town the night before the wedding to celebrate his birthday, to save us cab fare, which was again amazing! Tom is also very friendly & took the time to chat to us, making us feel very welcome, especially when both boyfriends went to play golf the morning before the wedding. They have two gorgeous dogs who are very well house trained and friendly, so don't let that put you off, I wanted to take one home! Last but not least before I was leaving I had to inform them that I stupidly got some hair dye on a towel, I had just had my hair coloured a couple of days before the wedding. They were both completely understanding, made me feel at ease & simply said 'not a problem!' They are beautiful people that make their home yours! Do stay here!

Hi Natasha. Thank you for your lovely review. I do remember you got very excited about the lovely new wrapped sponge in the bathroom. And the dye came out of the towel with a bit of Vanish!!
Take care. Cheryl and Tom.

We stayed 1 night at Kelmscott House and every possible element of a great B&B was in place. The rooms and facilities made for a very enjoyable break and to say that Tom and Cheryl were the consummate hosts would be an understatement!

Hi Mat. Thank you for the lovely review. It was so nice to meet you and Irene. Tom loved quizzing you about your job. Even if we ladies did glaze over!! So if you have any vacancies you know who to call. Good luck with the wedding. Don't forget to e-mail us some pictures. Cheryl and Tom.

If I had to put a big red pin in the map of Milton Keynes it would be on Kelmscott House! We only stayed one night after attending a family wedding in the village hall, but we were made to feel so welcome by the owners. The property is beautifully decorated with spacious rooms, comfy beds and every amenity you could wish for. We had a magnificent breakfast cooked to order exactly when we wanted it and we were very reluctant to leave wishing we could spend a few more nights exploring Woburn and Bletchley Park. On reflection, this is certainly the best bed and breakfast place we've ever stayed at and we strongly recommend a visit if you are looking for somewhere to stay. We would love to see this place at number one on Trip Advisor! Jill and Paul Murphy

We have just spent the night at Kelmscott House, and everything that has been written in the other reviews is true, Cheryl & Tom are so friendly & welcoming, the bedrooms are lovely and clean with a modern decor, and lovely big comfy beds, also there is everything you need to make tea coffee, and cold drinks in the fridge, nothing has been forgotton at this GEM of a b&b Tom very kindley drove us the wedding reception we were attending at Eversholt Hall, and after a great nights sleep, we were served up the best breakfast ever, with freshly collected eggs that morning, it was a perfect end to a perfect stay.Thank you both so very much.

What a lovely place to stay! The rooms were beautiful and very spacious. Tom & Cheryl were the perfect hosts and only to happy to help. Tom recommended a few local restaurants for dinner and we went for the "French Horn" in Steppingly just a couple of miles away (fantastic meal!).

Cheryl's breakfast was simply divine and it was great to watch the chickens messing about in the garden.

Now we have to think of another excuse to go to MK!!

Room Tip: They're all good! Shower only in the double room pictured on their website - but what a shower...

It's all been said before. In Kelmscott House the charming owners Cheryl and Tom have the absolutely perfect bed and breakfast establishment. As we drove up on a dark October evening we were met by our really warm and welcoming hosts Cheryl and Tom. Our spacious room, really a suite with its large bathroom and separate dressing room, was really delightful with its comfortable king size bed, two huge leather armchairs and masses of large fluffy towels.

In the morning we gazed out of the windows to see chickens free ranging on the lawns and lovely views of the surrounding countryside before going downstairs to an absolutely magnificant breakfast, quite superior to any we have enjoyed elsewhere.

Five plus stars, this place is perfect. Cheryl, Tom, we will be back.

Every plus point added by other reviewers is true and more. The accommodation is gorgeous, clean, spacious and comfortable in a quiet location. We stayed there for three nights. Had a fantastic breakfast every morning with everything from yoghurt, fruits, toast, eggs, bacon etc. Good starting point for some hiking. We would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone, the place was awesome! When we come to England, will be keen to stay there again.
