Excellent hotel very competent staff good location. We would avoid eating there. Jill's Diner for breakfast, the Fourth Street Grill for lunch, and Smith's Row for dinner serve excellent food.

What a breath of fresh air after a few hotel nightmares last year. The decor was a welcome change of pace from the standard hotel fare. The ambiance, beginning with Miles the canine inn-bassador, was wonderful. Enjoyed our breakfast on the day we left though we didn't get a chance to try lunch or dinner there this time. Am looking forward to a retun trip later in the year.

Stayed here the night before Thanksgiving on way to Indy. Hotel was not very crowded. Staff uniformly pleasant, Miles the dog was delightful, and the decor was a great mix of current and mid-century modern. Room very well designed (note no bathtub, however), and bed quite comfortable. Had dinner from bar downstairs - soup (adequate) and ordered the popcorn, but they were out so server gave me chips and cheese (very tasty, tried to ignore the calorie content) for no additional price. Good location, easy to get to from interstate, I will absolutely return here on future trips.

As far as a mainstream non-luxury hotel chain goes, Indigo is as good as it's going to get. All the modern decor is a nice change of pace - from the photos on all interior and exterior walls in the building, to the LCD tvs in the rooms. The wide shower area, the hardwood floors in the rooms, the relaxing whirlpool - everything is really nice. Staff were all helpful and friendly, although for some reason it seemed they didn't know a whole lot about Columbus, which was weird.

Finally, the breakfast was reasonably priced ($4 for a breakfest quesidilla) and quite good. - didn't get a chance to try lunch or dinner. And of course the highlight, the dog in the lobby. Really can't say enough about a hotel that has a doggie.in.bassador (their term).

This was a wonderful hotel, very clean, very comfortable. They have a swimming pool, it is small, and a hot tub. There is a restaurant/bar in the lobby, and the prices seemed very low. The room was very comfortable - modern decorating. The bed was great, very comfy. The hotel is a couple of blocks from the downtown area, so it was very conveniently located. There is a dog in the lobby that greets everyone - nice to have a furry thing to pet when you are away from home.

I can't remember staying in a more attractive, pleasant hotel. The rooms are very comfortable, with many thoughtful touches including: a great bathroom with a perfect shower that has a removable shower head, comfortable and really useable furniture including a nice desk and ergonomic desk chair, interesting color scheme in the room, good cooling controls (not frigid as is all too common), comfortable bed, LCD TV, a bright, airy, yet relaxing decor.

There are all sorts of quirky fun extras: 1) Miles, a cute, friendly, perfectly behaved dog that roams about the lobby ready to play or just snuggle for a minute, 2) The option to have a goldfish in your room -- they'll really bring one up in its little bowl 3) A book about Fibonachi numbers in the room. 4) Completely friendly, helpful, and unpretentious! staff. 5) REASONABLY PRICED BREAKFAST (breakfast burrito $4, bagel/cream cheese $2, fruit/granola/yogurt parfait $4, etc.)

I have stayed in $500+ suites, penthouse rooms overlooking this or that skyline, "boutique hotels in Manhattan, etc. The Indigo doesn't have marble sunken tubs or gold plated faucets, but it is a hotel designed perfectly to support someone who wants a place to relax, work and get a good night's sleep.

I discoverd the hotel while reading a NYT article on the Pritger Prize for architecture. My husband is a math nerd, so the idea that the design was based on the Fibbonaci numbers was enticing. We loved the new age music and the fact that there was a math book (on Fibonnaci numbers) in our room, along with the phonebook and the Bible. There were also the usual hotel info blurbs, recast in haku format -- amusing, but not always informative.

The hotel is great fun, but the food . . . not so much. When we went down for dinner, the bar was OUT of red wine of any sort, which seemed odd, although the food was fine though pricy -- though they were out of several items -- but it was Sunday night, so we cut them some slack.

Breakfast was disappointing. They say they have a Starbucks (and I know it is a franchise and therefore not up to the stand alone coffeeshops) but the coffee tasted like bad truckstop swill, and my breakfast (a whole wheat roll with spinach and cheese in an eggwhite onelet) was inedible -- the spinach made me a little ill, think it was burned. Yuck.

We ate elsewhere the rest of the time we were there. Loved the hotel, but wished they had given us a way to give them feedback.
