“A hole in the wall, but great food and prices!”
Reviewed April 17, 2014

Nestled in downtown Columbia City, just West of the courthouse, sits this little hole in the wall. Blink and you'll miss it.

Take a seat at the counter, or grab one of the booths - either way, service will be good. The menu is typical for a hot dog joint, but I think the offerings are varied enough to satisfy even a picky eater. The coney basket is a good bet - two coney dogs (served with mustard and onion unless you order it otherwise) and fries, and add a beverage. All prices listed on their menue include tax. You'll leave full and satisfied. The coney sauce at the Nook is more mild and very yummy - though paired with the onions, it will stick with you for the better part of the day....just like a good coney should.

“Nostalgic and friendly”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

The nook is the same as it has been for the past 30 years. Clean and well-kept. Long counter to sit at or booths towards the back. Very busy lunch crowd. Carry out available. Great coneys, thick fries. Nothing spectacular, but nostalgic and the kids love getting to sit at the counter, eat a hot dog and fries, and finish off with a milkshake. The same people have worked there as long as I can remember and know many of the locals.
