Quirky, hipster-without-trying cafe in an historic store front in old downtown Chesterton. Perfect location to grab lunch while browsing the galleries and farmer's market.
I had the grilled portobello on sourdough with red peppers, goat cheese, and pesto (got the dijon on the side); perfect! Hubs had roast beef with onions and cheese and loved it.
Took quite a while for our grilled sandwiches to come out; 2 other families who came in after us got their cold sandwiches first. Not too much of an issue, since we weren't in a hurry and the atmosphere was comfy.
Sammies were $7-8 and came with a few kettle chips.
Owner was very accommodating when I asked about one of the wall colors; she said had just repainted and ran in the back to find me the exact swatch she'd used. Thanks!
