“Nice but overrated”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

Carmel is working hard to be a destination for the arts but I think it's all a little overrated. They do have some nice arts but mostly overpriced stores. I will say they like to go big but big isn't always what it's cracked up to be. It's still worth a visit some times but not a place a want to visit a lot. The one big thing they have done well is their parks and green ways. For that they deserve a big pat on the back.

“Something for everyon”
Reviewed May 15, 2014

Carmel did a nice job reconfiguring their downtown into the Arts and Design District. We've come here many times in the past four years. There are many restaurants with plenty of variety for everyone from couples to families. It has incorporated the Monon Trail so people can take a walk or bike ride to this area. Our visitors have enjoyed the whimsical, life-like statues placed throughout the area. This is our first choice when entertaining company with food, drink and a nice stroll.

“Try Second Saturdays”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

On the second saturday of every month, the galleries are open from 5 to 9 pm with great art and hors d'oeuvres. Lots of fun and a nice way to get to know downtown Carmel.

“Vibrant and Fun”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

Great place for family and friends. Useful shops and places to eat. A great walking experience but parking is a bit of a challenge. A fantastic small town downtown that is fully integrated into living spaces and local businesses. It will be more fantastic as we move into warmer weather.
