The front desk staff was very helpful and the breakfast was very good. We were able to make our own waffles along with oatmeal, cereal, eggs, etc.
The rooms were also clean and quiet.
For the type of hotel, it was great.

Typical Residence Inn, though the rooms seem marginally smaller than the newer hotels. Room itself was clean, although the closet hangars were coated with dust, which I didn't see until a clean shirt was dirtied. Excellent bed and pillows, which is, after all, why you're here. Well furnished kitchen. Convenient to north side Indy shopping with a short drive.

Clean, quiet, reasonably priced and front desk staff very accommodating. Free breakfast but if you're a frequent Residence guest you may agree, the breakfast is good but just OK. FYI: there's a "Sunrise Cafe" within walking distance if you want a cook to order breakfast or lunch.

Room Tip: Grab a room near the elevator because it's not central to the core of the building. You may end...

Our daughter had to have surgery at Riley North in Carmel and because our arrival time for the hospital was at 6:30am and we had a 2 hour drive we wanted to stay the night before in the area. We looked for a hotel that was close but also one that would allow us to relax before her surgery. We selected the Residence Inn because it was across the street from the hospital and had great reviews..

When we arrived the gentleman at the desk was very welcoming to us. He spent a lot of time talking our daughter, got her a coloring book and explained the hotel services to us. His kindness and smile was a great welcome to the hotel. We asked the staff for a recommendation on a restaurant for supper and unlike many hotels canned responses he asked us our likes and made some great recommendations that seemed very personal to us. The lobby was very clean and inviting and we requested a room on the 4th floor.

When we got to our room we couldn't believe our spacious it was. We couldn't have asked for a nicer room to relax in. The kitchen was a great size and full stocked with high quality items. But the one perk we loved was the roll away bed for our daughter was a very nice bed. Many times we are disappointed with the quality of roll away beds and often bring a sleeping bag with us just in case. The bed was so nice our daughter slept in it all night - which she rarely does at home.

In the morning we had to leave early to go to the hospital and we told the morning attendant we would be back to check out after her surgery around 9:30a. We couldn't eat breakfast before due to restrictions before surgery. But when we came back the staff asked our daughter how she felt and were very friendly. BUT the amazing part was they had kept the breakfast bar out for us because it was suppose to close at 9:30 and we didn't get back until 9:45. This was an amazing touch.

We will definitely stay again and again at this hotel when we have to visit Riley or the Indy area. I have already informed my employer this is the only hotel I will stay in when traveling to Indy. I am extremely particular on hotels and felt very at home during this stay.

Thank you to all the staff for the amazing experience!

We had an absolutely fabulous experience at this hotel! Three teenage girls and I traveled to Carmel Indiana for the Midwest Tennis Championships 8/3-8/5. We were unable to book a room with two full size beds (in advance). We settled for a room with a king bed and pull out sofa and asked to be put on a waiting list for a two bedroom suite. On the day of our arrival we were warmly greeted by Suheir (assistant manager) who upgraded us to the two bedroom suite (at the one bedroom price)! She thought that it would possibly bring the girls good karma for their competition (it did). The suite was very spacious and clean. The girls had lots of room for their tennis gear, coolers, snacks and bags. They especially enjoyed having room to relax after long hours of competitive play. Suheir greeted us the next morning during a breakfast that was better than breakfasts I have had during recent stays at the Holiday Inn Express and Hyatt Place hotels (scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereals, fruit, breads, waffles). The hotel even granted our request for a late check out in case the girls needed to stay an extra day (if they made the playoffs). Well, the girls did not make the playoffs, but everyone had a great time at the Midwest Tennis Championships because of the competitive play opportunities and because of the outstanding hospitality of the Residence Inn by Marriott in Carmel, Indiana. Thank you to Souheir and all of the staff at this hotel!

Our family of 6 (2 adults, 2 teens, 2 children) drove for 7 hours to arrive at 2am to this hotel for a family wedding in Indy a couple of days later. Upon entering our room, we were thrilled by the cleanliness and spaciousness. We had a beautiful 2-bedroom suite with a full kitchen and corner fireplace in the living room. The furniture was clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfy although the street noise was definitely an issue while trying to get to sleep. Also, it was a little inconvenient at 2:30am to have had to make a trip to the check-in desk to ask for sheets to make up the sofabed because the closet contained only a mattress cover and a blanket. The considerate woman at the desk promptly provided the requested sheets plus a couple of extra towels as she thought we might need them, come morning. The A/C in our room got favourable reviews from my husband (who likes it chilly). The two bathrooms in our room came in handy when all 6 of us needed to get ready at the same time, for the wedding. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our children raved about the breakfast choices although I slept through it :) . The entire hotel was clean, fresh and modern. The weather was not favourable for us but the patio looked inviting and well appointed. I would earnestly recommend this superior hotel.

Residence Inn is a very solid brand in the Marriott family. This particular hotel is a great example of how it should work when done right. The rooms feel modern and new, as well as clean. The layout is nice with a very spacious kitchen area. The hotel amenities are fairly good with an indoor pool, workout room, the lobby area has lots of seating and several televisions. The breakfast in the morning was stocked adequately and the food was as I expected it to be. The staff was helpful for various things. The only real issue I had was that the sofa bed was very uncomfortable and smelled odd. But sofa beds are usually uncomfortable, so I can't be too harsh for that. Overall for the price, I think around 99 a night, I found this to be a good value and a solid hotel experience.
