This Campground has a few things that make it a possible nice spot for a quick family vacation. It is relatively secluded from the nearby town, so the camping atmosphere isn't disturbed by nearby commerce. There are lush tall pines and a generous amount of deciduous trees that provide a cozy setting around your campsite. However, this campsite's advantages over the close by KOA stops there.
The main issue that made this promising campground lose hard earned stars were icy cold showers. The worst thing to have during a late May cold snap is wearily walking out of the shower room dripping wet from cold water. I even tried standing there for 10 minutes in hope that some lukewarm water might eak out the tap but not even a hint of warmth came out. The other issue, though arguably not as important as hot water is that you have only 30 minutes of free wifi before you have to pay for it. I recommend having a complete list of everything you need internet for because 30 minutes go by fast.
This campground has real potential for a better rating. I'm sure that this campground has the desire for making their patrons' vacation a positive one but it is clear that the bottom line is more important than campers' comfort.
