“Great wetland walk”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

This was a very pleasant walk on the boardwalk through a wetlands to a small island. There were hundreds of black swans and thousands of other bird life. The walk was easy and very relaxing. The staff at the site were very helpfull about the wetlands and very proud of the site as well. if you wanted to you could have a picnic on the island. You need at least 1-2 hours to do the full circuit.

“Idylic Walk through a wetland area to Tamar Island”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

Parking is easy, near the Information and Interpretation Centre. The walk is long, along a board-walk over wetlands and various tidal backwaters of the Tamar River. The actual island is a great place for a picnic, or even just a stroll to see the various points of interest. Not a place to go if you are short of time.

“On the Boardwalk”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

This place is good value, just a gold coin donation from memory, there is an information centre, but the boardwalk can get a bit tight at times with people traffic, I reckon it would be wheelchair friendly, and at the end there are picnic tables for a well deserved rest, and maybe a bite to eat (byo), before heading back.
