We just returned from a stay at this hotel (recommended by our Athenian in-laws). We loved it, but you MUST get a sea view room! The balcony views overlooking the water are amazing!. It is true that it is on a busy street, but when the french doors were closed we heard very little traffic noise Air conditioning kept us very comfortable in the hot Athens summer. There is a tram across the street that will take you to the heart of the city, and the direct bus to the airport stops a very short distance from the front door. Many restaurants and street kiosks are right around the corner. The rooms are not especially luxurious or modern, but they are extremely clean, comfortable and have the expected amenities, including free Wi-Fi. The public areas are very nice. The staff was courteous and helpful, and the Front Desk staff speak English well. The breakfast buffet was one of the most enjoyable that we have experienced in all of Europe...a very pleasant dining room (with the option of eating outside), and an attentive staff keeping everything fresh, The food options were healthy, plentiful and delicious (including that rare find...really good coffee). We will be returning to Athens, and we would never consider staying anywhere else. Great experience!

Room Tip: As mentioned before....it is well worth it to book a "sea-view" room.

A nice hotel in Paleo Faliro. The view is beautiful. The staff was kind. A beautiful terrace, nice rooms in cute old style. The bathroom was overall simple, but the bathtub had a kind of jacuzzi system. I would go there again. We stayed 5 nights.

Very good location near Marina , you fiind a lot of bars and restaurants near !
The hotel is nice a little bit old the furniture and in the first day we fiind a big bug in the room!
We had a see view room And the sighting was fantastic ! Except the bug wich i think was accidentaly the room was clean , the size of the room and the bathroom was generous for this type of hotel !
If you choice the sea view you are in front tp a very busy and noisy road so if you have problems with sleeping with noises is not the best choice !
The front desk was friendly and helpfull!
The breakfast very generous and very tasty !

We stayed just 2 nights so the review is mixed based on several experiences.

The good
Good location, nice view, friendly staff, decent price for 4 stars hotel. Also sea view was great experience in the morning and evenings.

The bad
Facing the sea is also facing the main street, and rooms are not very sound proof so no chance of getting a good sleep in the morning.
Also the mattress was too strong so my back was hurt all day.
Also too much light in the morning.

The ugly
One big ugly bug that i killed after hunting it with the sleeper for a few minutes. It run very fast but i was a good hunter.

Overall i would choose other place because of the noise and mattress.

This hotel is not the shiniest facade on the street but once inside the Coral Hotel is elegant and comfortable. The staff are extremely helpful and only want to make your stay the best it can be. The rooms are basic but are clean and the bed is comfy... The hotel is on the Main Street, which was a concern of ours but the noise is not that severe that it interrupts your sleep. It is situated right across the road from the tram line and if you fly into the airport you can catch the X96 bus for €5 each and the bus stop is 100m away from the front door - very convenient; and much cheaper than a taxi.
We arrived late afternoon, and after a swim and gym session (my husband - not me - its extremely basic) we decided to stay in and have a few drinks in the bar and Theodoros looked after us! He is extremely good at his job and knows what you want, when you want it - even before you do!
Would definitely recommend this hotel - it's exceptional value for money, great service and would stay here again.

Due to flights we arrived very tired after midnight for a two night stay. It was our first hotel on a Cosmos tour. We were in a back room, so no view but traffic still very noisy – also the air con was not working, as it was late we left it until the following day so slept with window open to get some air which of course made the noise problem even worse. It was fixed the next day but still quite noisy with the window shut. Another couple on our trip also had a back room and they said air con never worked for the two days. Other than that the hotel is overlooking the sea and near the marina if that’s what you want, but is long way from Athens center. Tram, which is just outside, is cheap but not quick. Included breakfast was quite good and other than noise and air con problems the hotel was tidy with friendly staff.
